Im a devil fan but my uncle is a huge ranger fan I live with him and watch the games with him and I know a lot about them. I don't hat them like most devil fans unless they play the devils lol moving on

I think Weber would be best for you. Your 5 on 5 was ranked in the middle ans your power play sucked. Weber would be great quarterbacking the power play.
I think if is harder to find aa guy like Weber than nash or Ryan or Doan and personal I don't see doan doing it for you.

Sather wasn't interested (allegedly) in dealing two roster players for Nash, I'd be shocked if he dealt 3. That's a lot of holes to fill...and no Miller probably isn't making the team. Not going to be ready unless he has one of those training camps where you just can't send him down. But it's unlikely. And either way you've got Boyle on the 3rd line? Not ideal either.
And that team with Nash in Hagelin's place and another third line forward (acquired via another trade, free agency or brought up from our system) in Dubinsky's place would be even better.
Nash may not be worth acquiring at the price Howson is asking, however, at a reasonable price he makes this team significantly better. If you're trying to argue that Nash isn't worth $7.8M/year, I think you'll find most people agree. However, he won't kill our cap situation with Dubinsky's salary off the books, and we have some other big contracts (like Gaborik) coming off the books at times that will make it easier to resign our young RFAs and Lundqvist.
He won't come "at a reasonable price".
All the forwards mentioned in the trade -- Dubinsky, AA, Hagelin, Stepan -- are all two-way forwards, three of who can play center and wing.
Nash only plays wing, and he's not a good penalty killer/defensive forward. Nash has been playing "soft minutes" the last few years as a BJ.
The Rangers are not better off adding Nash while subtracting two of the above.

I thought I heard he's willing to give up 2 roster players and 2 prospects or a pick and a prospect. I could see him parting with two of them, but not 3, unless he could get some 3rd line players seriously cheap. Though on the plus hand, moving all those players would pretty much pay for Nash's cap hit over 3 years.

Howson wants NHL-established players because he sucks at developing them. I bet if he was offered 5 1st rounders like the Caps got for Stevens, he would turn and run away because the onus would be on him to develop players.
Slats should offer three 1sts and two 2nds for Nash just to make Howson turn it down publicly and get fired a week before the season.

Sure, but one could argue that a difference maker would put his team on his shoulders and pot the OT game winner as well. That's my definition of a game-breaker.

They're not trading three roster forwards for Nash. You can't count on Miller making the team even if you're high on him. Plus, that deal forces both Asham and Rupp into the everyday starting lineup. No thanks.

You do realize what "if" means, correct? I sure do, and used it because I admitted earlier that the price Howson is asking may not be worth it.
I'm going to assume you don't watch Nash play often. He's a good defensive winger, and he's good on the penalty kill. During the Jackets' two best seasons he stepped up his two way game and proved he could be a complete forward. At the Olympics in 2010 he was counted on to play on Canada's shutdown line and did a great job, specifically in the game against Russia where he was playing opposite Ovechkin.
The only reason he's been playing "soft minutes" is because the Jackets' coaches since Hitchcock have tried to save him for late in games - something most of their fans are upset with and probably one of the biggest reasons Scott Arniel lost his job.
A day or so ago I mused that CBJ might keep Nash if they didn't believe a respectable trade was possible. Now based on a new angle I've reconsidered. I have come full circle and believe that CBJ will indeed take the best offer they have before the start of the season?
I know very little about the prospects in the 2013 mock draft. However I did see this name come up. was the writer overplaying Mackinnon as a prospect? Is he someone that you can possibly build a franchise around?

Based on last years performance and looking at a CBJ team without Nash I started to wonder whether CBJ has a very good chance to pick #1? Clearly there are no guarantees that CBJ will pick 1st or McK's reputation will remain high but here's the squibb.

I am so beyond tired of this Nash thing. If we're going to spend assets for an improvement you start talking to Poile now about Weber. There are always other options in this league, if Howson's going to be that idiotic, let him lose his job over it.
