Comforting news?

Not sure if this is comforting to anyone or not, but take a look here
http://www.nhl.com/standings/2005200...standings.html and look at the record for the last 10 games of 1-8. The only hot teams going in are Jersey, Buffalo, and Montreal, and Montreal needed to play hot to solidify a playoff spot. Everyone else is around .500.

I find it a little comforting knowing that other teams aren't on fire now either.

happens every year... we were a .500 team before the last playoffs, and like for 2 months too. a few of these teams that played their hearts out are going to flame-out in the first round... coaches will get exposed... it's the playoffs, another season.

Yea but hopefully they will eliminate Carolina first.

Considering there is a 66.6666666% chance of us playing Buffalo or Jersey...I don't find that comfortiing at all.

It would be nice for Brind'Amour to get a ring. He's a class act and a true warrior. He reminds me of Steve Larmer: a really good soldier who plays it well at both ends, always gives a great effort, and keeps his mouth shut.

LOL, they are going to have to beat several good teams if they have a shot at the Cup. There are no unbeatable teams in the playoffs, they all have their flaws and a series is a chess match to expose/exploit those flaws. It's wide open as far as I'm concerned, I'm just looking forward to the 2nd season.
