Value's there, however Glencross just signed a sweetheart deal taking a hometown discount to stay and may not waive his NMC.
Stempniak & Comeau just signed so trading them is unlikely, plus if Buffalo really wanted them they would have just signed them.
Reality says no.
I don't think Glencross will ever waive his NMC (99.9% certain at least)
He loves Alberta, owns a ranch here and is actively involved in rodeos such as the Calgary Stampede. As well, I believe he has lots of family here and wants to grow his family here.
Nor would the Flames want to trade him given his sweat deal for the type of game he brings.
I can't see Glencross being moved unless it's in a package for a number one center. One of those guys who actually elevated his play after getting a big contract (that 2.55 cap-hit is sweet).
Because Feaster loves giving Regier all his assets
But really Buffalo says no. Stafford's chemistry with Ennis and Foligno is really valuable to the team. That line is gonna be seeing more minutes next year with Roy gone, and he's the only vet on it.
I would say yes. Stemp, and Comeau are a dime in a dozen. Spare parts. Easy to acquire, easy to replace. So essentially it's GlenX for Gerbe, Adam, and Stafford. That's a good deal for the Flames.
No thanks, If Glencross is moved it is in a package for a #1 like others said. Glencross is also signed to a great deal and is too important to the Flames.

.
Both were re-signed by the Flames before July 1st, so the Sabres couldn't have just signed them.
Anyways... I'm a Flames fan and would take that trade. Stafford is a decent replacement for Glencross, and Adam and Gerbe have some upside.
Glencross has a NMC/NTC though. I doubt he would waive it to go to Buffalo. He signed a long term contract with Calgary at a huge discount, so it's safe to say he wants to stay in Calgary.
