He is the big 1st/2nd line tweener that Chevy and TNSE are looking for. Yes, he is a risk, but taking chances is where the biggest rewards come from. What would Boston fans ask for the guy who is a year away from UFA?

Do not want, 1 year to UFA and has had concusion issues for the last year and a half. Way to much risk for someone who could be 1 hit away from his career being over.
Great player but he's coming off a serious concussion and the B's will be looking for too much in return. There's a post above already asking for Bogosian and that would be a TERRIBLE trade.
The Jets need to stay the course and keep filling the cupboard with prospects. From there we keep building from within.
Last thing we need to do is start giving up prospects and picks for guys who are on the last year of their contract.
Not worth the risk unless they were letting him go for a 2nd (a high 2nd most likely) or the Jets pending UFAs, neither of which comes close to his value to Boston if he was healthy. I thought Boston needed top-6 wingers anyways.

He needs to prove he's healthy before he gets traded as much more than a cap dump. I honestly don't see him getting moved unless it's at the deadline as part of a different deal.
Hamilton is yet an unproven commodity. That could possibly be the outcome 5-10 years from now, but Bogosian looks like he is well on the path to becoming Wpg's no.1. They'd be foolish to deal him for Norton.

doesn't make sense to me either but imagine a shutdown pair of Bogosian-Hamilton
the first name in your username has a much better chance of not playing again then Horton.
we aren't good trading partners, we would need a top 6 forward coming back and we wouldn't trade for him for a downgrade. I expect Horton to come back strong and score 25+ this season
I can see this thread getting silly quick, mainly because it already has. Truth of the matter is Boston can't afford to part with Horton unless they get a better top 6 wing back. The top 6 is weak already because of Horton's concussion risk.
The players that would interest a Boston fan are the ones whom most Jets fans would say are untouchable for anything short of an overpayment for good reason. Boston, if they make any moves will do so with the intent of buying top 6 players with prospects or picks, or perhaps trading away a center like Krejci. The wing and D have too many question marks to touch, and there isn't enough money to buy security.

There certainly is risk so there would need to be a discount but then if he comes available too cheap its a red flag situation. At this point i could only see teams offering pieces they don't need now or see much need for down the road whether he pans out or not. Need a riverboat gambler to step up or its not worth it for Boston.
