The way I look at it is we have three 2nd lines and one 4th line and I like it.

I want to see the Avs make the playoffs and prove to people that they are going to be a strong team real soon.

People won't be talking about giving away lottery picks for Varly - now they'll just be saying how F. Forsberg is the greatest player in the draft.

Yeah that one is going to be interesting,

I will be looking forward to :

Hopefully realigning before Minnesota really becomes good.

Watching our top 9 put up over 1000 hits in 82 games. (Hoping for the highest totals against Detroit and Vancouver.)

Any game VS Chicago or SJ.

McGinn proving all of you haters wrong*

Landeskog putting up 30 goals and hopefully having chemistry with Duchene & PAP (He scored 14 in the last 40 during the hardest part of the year.)

Rooting for O'Reilly to win the Selke trophy (Being pissed when he does not get nominated while having better numbers than one of the nominees, he came damn close this year and beat a few of them in a few categories. The only real stat that was not comparable was +/-..)

Seeing either Stastny's resurgence or whatever forward or Defense-man we get for him.

Having a Jedi in net for 70% of the season instead of 40%.

Seeing one of the rookies (Heard, Hishon, Sgarbossa) surprise the hell out of us and make the team out of camp. My bet is on Heard bringing an honest two-way physical game with a little offense here and there. (Just my own personal feeling, yeah it's crazy I know. It's just a hunch.. Good blog on him here - http://www.milehighhockey.com/2012/6...mitchell-heard) I think he fills the third line LW spot.

EJ growing over another season and putting up 30+ points.

Duchene out pacing Tavares over the course of the season and the NYI saying that it's only because of PAP.

Landeskog & McGinn breaking at least two of the Oilers top players for two weeks or more.

Making the playoffs, Phoenix is not the same team, they lost Whitney's 77 points and they are not getting that replaced instantly. Does anyone really believe that Vrbata is going to duplicate his 35 goal season? Especially without Whitney..

Detroit & NSH are not the same teams either. Calgary got worse defensively and softer up front.

Vancouver will be missing Kesler to start the year.

Chicago and SJ are both pretty much the same teams they were last year. Chicago will probably be a little better though with less injury issues.

Come to think of it.. The teams that got better in the West are MIN, EDM, COL, and DAL. STL & COL will be better with another year of growth.

I have the same feeling about this guy. He will be coming to camp with a huge chip on his shoulder trying to prove to the other teams that they made a mistake passing on him for two years. He will want to prove to the Avs that he is worth a second round pick as well. He is a poor man Landeskog and I think he can fit well on the 3rd line as well. He would also bring a second guy to take faceoff on Duchene's line. He would compliment Duchene and Heduk very well.

Watching Varly and Landeskog take the next step and proving to the league they are what we all know they are.

Also seeing if Yakupov and RNH really live up to the hefty weights put on their shoulders. If RNH has an amazing season i'll finally let go of the fact that he looks like Heather Matarazzo.

Imagine if all of these things actually happen in the same season... we would one of the top teams in the west. Unfortunately maybe only a few actually will.

I think my list is reasonable.. Well Duchene outscoring Tavares might be a stretch but hes done it before, and we just took his playmaking winger away from him leaving them to sign Brad Boyes.

Heard making the team is a stretch to but, hey we have already had one second round beauty by Pracey why not another?

Ok so the rest of it is realistic...
