I think Coyle misses Phillips in this.

Liked the Zucker Granlund connection. All the usual suspects looked pretty good to me though.

Haven't really seen Dumba, nor Brodin (apart from some good patience with the puck in his own end). Not a bad thing for a defenseman though.

First half thoughts

Hackett-If that puck was a cheesburger you'd stop it..though his defense was absent I was dissapointed

Granlund-Just dazzling..guy is a wizard and made a few passes that were highly skilled

Larsson-Horse..Not big but plays much bigger than he is..I was very impressed with him..

Gunnarsson-Didn't know much about him but like his game..big and decent skater

Bussieres-Really like his game

Zucker-didnt notice much after the goal..wanna see more of that speed

Nanne-Give the kid a break he fits in just fine..Doesnt look out of place

Gustavsson-Solid..just solid. Could be the forgotten goalie prospect in this system(been saying that all along)

Draeger, Bulmer-so so..hope to see more

Brodin-looked a little jittery with the puck..very easy to notice his skating its so silky smooth

Dumba-waiting to see something from him..havent seen much from him(sometimes a good thing from defesneman) yet waiting for that big hit

Impressed with the Swedes. Gunnarson looked good, he's one of the older kids but I like how he skated and good reach, puckhandling. Larsson is a tough cookie and Brodin looks smooth. Also liked Haula, Granlund, Zucker and Phillips.

First half thoughts:

Granlund - Just as advertised. Except for the little body play by Medvec, he's been amazing.

Medvec - By far the most noticeable defenseman for me so far. Played Granlund perfectly on that rush.

Zucker - Working really really well with Granlund. Picking spots and showing his speed well. With the low quality feed, I haven't had a chance to see the defensive end of his play (good or bad) but like Granlund, he seems like he's in a higher league than the rest of them.

Bulmer - Very impressive. Drives the net, takes shots, playing physical. Couldn't ask for more from him.

Dumba - Hardly noticed him although I've been looking.

Brodin and Scandella - Are they on the ice? Haven't even seen them once.

Bussieres - Playing just like Bulmer, albeit seems a little behind in development (as should be expected with the 2 year difference).

Fontaine - Just doesn't give up. Works and works and works out there.

Gunnarsson - Real strong play to rush the puck to cause that goal.

Coyle - Has been invisible so far.

Phillips - Hard to say with the feed quality, but I think he's been holding his own. Not so flashy like he was last year, but that's probably a good thing.

Missed Zucker's goal.

Pluses:
Zucker's speed..dump ins...playing NHL game///
Bussieres on the puck...
Seeler's skating (missed first goal by Zucker...) and first pass in the middle of the period looked great
Gunnarsson's skating. Man, end to end and a nice pass back for the finish.
Bulmer looks like a man amongst boys.
Some of the tryouts noticeable out there.
Medvec easily shutting down Granlund's fancy move that he telegraphed...

Minuses
Did not notice Coyle that much.
Dumba has nice first steps but made two bad passes that led to turnovers
Brodin was good skating but did not stand out (must manage my expectations =P)
Foucault was much more noticeable last camp...always has had great hands and shot and figured a year in AHL would make him look really good at a prospect camp

-----------

Green looking much better breaking out and going through the neutral zone.

God, I could watch this for the rest of my life!

Scandella isnt on russo's roster, not sure he is playing.

Sitting here in the stands...its amazing how ignorant some people are. I'll type out a pretty dumb story when i get home to my laptop and dont have to type on my iPod.

But thoughts on players, i've been scoping in on some guys and watching just them for entire shifts.

Brodin- omg. Just ridiulously poised and just awesome. Hes so smart it just oozes out of him. In the offensive zone, hes perfectly positioned and only calls for the puck when he knows he has a good shot. Has happened a handful of times, i think. Smart eith the puck, knows just how to get by people. Just...wow. Awesome. When i get home i'm thinking about changing my avy to Brodin over Coyle. Speaking of the big mug:

Coyle - mostly unnoticable, IMO. Got a big cheer from the crowd when he stepped on the ice at the beginning. Had some good hook ups with Ralph, i saw.

Gilmour - surprisingly good. I dig it.

Gunnarsson - surprised me a bit in warmies and has seemingly improved every shift , i think. Very fun to watch, ithink. Nothing flashy, but i see a lot of skill in his game.

Dumba- won me over. **** Trouba. Ok. Not really. But damn i like Dumba now. You can just tell he is working twice as hard as everyone else here. In warmies he was practicing slick moves and working his edges at all times, just fun to watch even while just warming up.

Bertschy - ehhh. Dont know what to think about him. Small, shies away a bit from contact, and doesnt have that great of a shot, from what i saw in warm ups and his single chance in the game so far.

Otherwise, i didnt really have anyone stick out to me, aside from Larsson and MiG, but beryone knows about them so whatever

I'll post again afterthe second half.

Question, could i get my jersey signed at the autograph session at the end? Or is it only the sheets they gave everyone?

I'm sure no one would decline, whether it was supposed to happen or not.
