I remember when they hired a bunch of eights and had them dance directly on the ice surface. A bunch of old bitty, busy body Maud Flanderses got up in arms and the Coyotes fired all of the eights in skimpy clothes and hired a bunch of threes in sweats. Slowly but surely they gradually phased out the Chelsea Clintons, Kelly Clarksons, and America Ferreras and gradually phased out the snuggies and Bayside High gym sweats for a bunch of fives and sixes wearing clothes that are dress code approved for any public middleschool in a Mormon district. It's progress, but goddamned were there some serious buzzkills back in the day. A lot of them were regular posters here at that time. The reincarnations of the Christian Mothers Foundation that got Prohibition pushed through way back in the day. Only four or five of us are left over from those days on this board.
If we do get a new owner, hopefully we can get rid of the annoying cheerleaders. Id rather that money he brings in goes to paying someone in the orgainzation deserving of a 2nd chance in life or is trying to make it from provery to the middle class.

I actually like the Suns cheerleaders a lot. They are actually a show and are impressive. So were the Coyotes girls that actually danced on the ice. These current ones that just kind of stand there looking really enthusiastic are kind of pointless, though. If they arent actually going to practice, choreograph, and provide a real show, with actual talent (like the Suns dancers) then I tend to agree with you. Pointless.

Off-topic, but the biggest push for Prohibition came from two groups: the women's suffrage movement and the KKK. Unlikely partners, but they got what they wanted, for a little while at least.
