Jay Feaster is grounded from talking to Darcy Regier, so no.

Ahahahahaa. Yep. If you want Buffalo to even begin thinking about trading Tyler Ennis, anyways.

For Tyler Ennis? Starting with anything less would be the joke.

Just because Sven is our best prospect doesn't make his comment laughable... Ennis has/is carving out a nice NHL career as a budding first line center. Sven has played all of 5 games.

The Flames won't be moving Sven in any deal any time soon, but if they want Ennis, then Buffalo has every right to ask for Sven.

Pass I wouldn't trade Glencross unless we get a young top 6 center with potential to be a #1 he is so underrated. He is our best pker, he is physical and likes to block shots, he was on pace for 59 points and makes less than 3 million. It would take vast overpayment to trade him this is not it.

Original proposal is pretty lopsided I would say. Only piece that interests me as a Sabres fan is Glencross. Comeau and Stempniak are both washed-up underachievers, as Gerbe and Adam still have potential.

However, that being said, I would do Glencross for Stafford.

The original deal is already lopsided in Calgary's favor. Aside from the fact that that trade makes less than zero sense for Buffalo, we all know Feaster doesn't win trades with Darcy Regier as his partner.

Ya fair enough. I admit I was hasty in my post. Don't wanna be one of those people that act like Sven is the second coming of Gretzky. I do feel however if a trade was gonna be made involving those two the + on calgarys side wouldn't be a lot. I just jumped to conclusions at what he ment Sven + means. I do apologize.

I know how important GlenX is to Calgary, but Buffalo is losing a lot of skill in this deal.

If Calgary went into a rebuild this would be a pretty good move IMO.

Age. We are not contending next year, so there's no reason for us to do this. Find some other team to buy Iginla with younger players.

As for the OP, no thanks. I don't see a need to move most of our forward depth for a winger. If there were a player exactly like Glencross but playing center, it may be worth considering. Even then, we should subtract one player from each side and add a pick from Buffalo's end, because we're not unloading three roster (or near-roster) players for anything less than a 1st liner or 1st pairing guy.

It may not make sense for Buffalo but in no way is it in Calgary's favor.

What about Glencross and Backlund for Ennis and Stafford?

Any trades Calgary makes will be to bring in a top 6 Center IMO.

At this point I'm pretty sure Feaster is on Buffalo's payroll, and nothing would surprise me.

Come on, you know deep down it would feel good because you guys owe us one.

The Regehr deal was pretty awful.

As others have said it looks ok on paper - until you factor in Glencross' amazing contract. It would really be hard for the Flames to part with that.

Really?

Byron is looking like a long shot.

Butler is ok but he is a #4 d-man, so we downgraded our d.

And, we gave up a 2nd to get rid of Kotalik...

Not a good trade at all.

Wasn't a fantastic trade for either team really. Regehr ended up falling to 5th on their depth chart. The only reason it worked out better for Buffalo was that Kotalik bolted for Europe, and they weren't on the hook for his contract anymore.

Certainly wasn't a one-sided donkey ****** that some people are making it out to be.
