Nope. Holy hell that was bad. Hail was atleast the size of a marble pounding the house down nonstop for atleast 10 mins.

What is the consensus best casino is Edmonton?? Thinking of going out this weekend, but I'm not sure which one to go to. I've been to River Cree, Palace Casino, and the one on Argyll Road, but I feel like trying a new place.

Fun fact of the day:

Phaneuf and Avery share the same birthday, but Avery is older.

Well storm or no storm I generally am laying in bed awake around 4am. I'm shocked there isn't more damage. Mill Woods road east of the Shell had the worse damage that I saw, and that was just branches and leaves.

You might as well try out Yellowhead. It felt more like more of a Casino to me than Argyll and Abs. I haven't tried that one on Fort Road out, but here good things.

Really though I don't know what the major differences would be. I guess River Cree could be quite the day/night if you hit a show too.

The casino on Argyll is the ABS. Anyhow I agree I'd hit yellowed if you're looking for something different.

How much do you actually know about Chuckwagon racing and the horses who participate in it? Do you realize that these horses have a better life than a lot of people? These horses are athletes, and love running. While their are accidents, that is all they are, accidents, these animals are not fighting eachother. When these accidents happen everyone involve morns the loss of these animals. Just like every other sport in this era they are pushing the limits and are trying to find ways to make it safer for both horses and riders.

Because eating to sustain yourself = horse deaths due to racing, roping baby calves, bull riding etc

You don't need to eat meat to sustain yourself. Ironically, you justify the deaths of hundreds of millions of animals in an effort to stave off hunger (which can easily be done with non-animal products more efficiently). Yet, as the poster above highlighted, a few animals die during an event put on for entertainment purposes and people are beside themselves. Probably eating a steak as they vent their frustrations.

Not a fan of these events, then don't support them. EZPZ.

What I've never understood is why people pretend they understand the perspective of the animal.

Maybe chuck wagon racing is as much abuse to a horse as it is to a human playing hockey. Maybe they enjoy the competitiveness like a human athlete. Maybe they aren't even intelligent enough to rationalize good or bad.
