Lundqvist 85th 3rd.

McDonagh Home

Girardi Away

Richards Winter Classic. I don't really love Richards but I got it for the memory of the game winner. I almost got Rupp though.

I am a seller, if anyone is interested? They make great liners for a litter box.
Interested in the man, the myth, the legend Petr Nedved.

Also, my "embarrassing" jerseys:

Fleury White Liberty
Matty Gilroy
Petr Prucha (I guess?)
Anson Carter
Eric Lindros
Marcel Hossa (yes I'm that guy)
Danny Blackburn
Matty Cullen
Nik Zherdev (My favorite jersey hahah)
Avery

I was just thinking the same thing. I don't care how much a player underachieved. If he played for your team, a HoFer is also a good jersey to have.

Alot of people are listing Avery in here and I think they're being way too hard on themselves. He was a huuuuuuuuuge part of the '07 and '08 squads.

Vernon Gholston lol. I bought it before he played a snap for $35 on Ebay. Figured if he was great, I got an absolute steal. If he was a bust, then I only spent $35 so I didn't care. Welp....

Only one Rangers jersey: Lundqvist WC As well as one Yankees (Jorge Posada replica) and one Jets (Revis replica).

I'm very selective when it comes to jerseys. If I'm going to spend $200+ then I want to spend it wisely, although I know for sure my next one will be a blue Callahan. Low-risk purchase in my opinion.

Waiting ~3 years until I go out and purchase a Stepan, McDonagh, or Kreider (although McD is VERY tempting right about now).

Gomez..It was the first jersey purchase of mine since I was a little kid. In fact from the time I was about 10 years old to about 21-22, the only jersey I even owned was a Liberty Leetch. I had the choice of Jagr, Drury, Lundqvist and Gomez. Why I picked Gomez I will never know.

I have a Shanny and a Jagr jersey that I kind've regret. Not the players, but the jerseys were the crappy Premier replicas with heat pressed plastic lettering. I got them right around the time I got into collecting jerseys so I had no idea.

I also have a Boogaard jersey that I bought with about a month left in his only season with us. I dont regret buying it. In fact, it probably has more sentimental(for lack of a better word) meaning to me now than it ever would have. I just wish I could have gotten some wear out of it while he was still playing.

I regret none of my purchases. I have a Drury jersey but I don't regret it because he was a good guy for us.

3. Dubinsky Home - Really hope I don't regret this purchase

4. Staal 85th 3rd - Amazing jersey, Amazing player. Love it

5. Gaborik Away - I said no Free Agent, but I got it from him (not authentic. cheapo)

6. Hagelin Away - Bought these playoffs when I forgot my jersey at home (came straight from school) I searched and searched for a Kreider, Lundqvist or McDonagh, but the Hags was the only non-authentic I could find, and I didn't have time for them to custom make it. Hope I don't regret it

Soon: Vanek and Grabner Authentics - from them personally
Pssst. Give me the Vanek jersey

Not counting "the greats", the jersey's I've bought of players who didn't end up staying much longer are:
- Barnaby
- Drury
- Holik
- Tyutin
- Fluery

The only one I'm embarrassed about/regret purchasing is the Holik one, the rest of them remain some of my favorite "current era" Rangers and are still worn (semi) regularly

Around christmas time during Drury's last year here, I was planning on getting a heritage jersey at the garden as a present for myself.

I went before the first period and couldn't decide between Dubinsky or Staal I think it was, since my first choice was Callahan and he was already sold out.

I came back after the first, and my choices had pretty much widdled down to Sean Avery or Chris Drury. I bought a Drury jersey, as he's always been one of my favorite players, well before he became a Ranger.

I only regret it because I tend to go to a lot of road games, and it's always gonna be a talking point for some idiot fan who wants to talk about Drury's contract. Worst $275 I've ever spent, considering I'll wear this thing about five more times in my life and probably just start putting it into a rotation with my pickup hockey jerseys. If I were to sell it, it'd probably fetch $50 if I was lucky.

I don't care what anyone says, Fleury jerseys are awesome. He was one of the only guys that left it out on the ice every night during those bad years in the late 90s, early 2000s. Can hardly say the same for so many other guys that came here. Who cares if he had some issues?

On top of that, unlike so many celebrities that flood the headlines, he sought help for all of his problems and he's now living a healthy life and is still a great person in the hockey community. And heck, a few years ago when he played in the pre-season with the Flames on a tryout basis, he still had skills.

Blackburn could've been a great NHLer, it's a shame what happened.

In retrospect, yes, but at the time he was a huge part of the team.

Fans can't control what will happen in the future. To me, an embarrassing in jersey is only when the fan really jumped the gun, like getting a Gomez/Redden soon after he was signed, or getting a Jessiman the day he was drafted.

I got everyone beat. I have a Daigle jersey I bought with my allowance (I was 11) right after the 1993 draft. I was big into getting expansion team jerseys in the early 90's cause there were so many teams added over a short period of time. I still have it, I'll take a picture of it later if I go over to my folks house, it should still be in my childhood bedroom closet.

I was playing NHL 11 the other night [didnt buy 12... skipped a year... whatever] and sometimes Ill sort free agents by their listed "potential" and see if I can get a "steal"... so as I was scrolling through players, I saw Daigle was actually still in the game... with a B- potential, at like 35 years old... which never happens, everyone typically becomes a C or worse, because, they're not going to progress... now I may have had a few drinks, but I still couldnt help but ACTUALLY say out loud:

"Oh for F's sakes... give it up, that dude has NO HOPE of getting ANY BETTER"
