Modano Return to MN?

I read a report Modano would listen to the Wild if the came calling for his services. Seems like a bold move by him. I personally would love to see him end his career back where it started.

I could see it in some sort of an office position, but not as a player.

Is this in reference to his tweet? Because that was a joke.

Modano was simply joking. Plain and simple. It was just a casual (and creative) response after Suter and Parise signed.

Can I come back and play in Minnesota too..? ‪#northstars

I saw it here at NBC sports talk, clearly speculation.

http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2...play-for-wild/

But it is interesting to think about. Even if it was a desk job like what Lidstrom did with the wings.

That's the first that I've seen of that. At first his comments sounded just like they did a year or so ago...so much so that I thought it was an old article or someone was reprinting the quotes. I don't understand him saying it'd be a good place to end his career, since it already ended a year ago. Either way, it's not gonna happen. This team is moving a whole other direction. Maybe the Wings could use him again.

Can't see him taking a desk job. He loves Dallas too much.

I would LOVE to see the #9 flying in a wild sweater! And I don't mean Koivu neither.

We've got one contract left. We're not gonna use it on a guy who retired a year ago. If anything, it's a compliment from the guy. No disrespect, but like Russo said, it's not happening. I still think he had to have been joking at some point, because it just doesn't make sense even for him.

Russo is sure having fun responding to people asking about Mo.

Personally, I think Modano is kidding, but regardless, he had his chance to end career w ‪#mnwild‬ 2 years ago and chose ‪#redwings

@joeshare007 I want to play for the wild, too. So do you. You don't sign somebody because he wants to play for the wild

Maybe. But a 13 year contract is not on the table.

He's not good enough to replace anyone on the roster.

I was at Wild-Stars games back and he was getting boo'd. Don't know why he would wanna come back here. Anyway, where does he reside now anyways? I'm guessing Texas? Michigan maybe?
