Benn Ferriero Appreciation Thread!

Always loved it when he got the call up, he was always one of the hardest workers on the ice and did score a few money goals. One in particular that will go down in the Sharks HoF

Good luck in Pittsburgh Benn, and may the hockey gods bless you with a chance to play on Crosby's wing!

Those game winners are why we made the playoffs people, that and his OT game winner against the Commie Wings!

Will miss him. All the best Ferriero!

I still think he was worth signing for a 2-way deal ... hope you get some playing time in the Steel City Benn

Signed with the Penguins.

Obviously the solution to Crosby's long-time wing problem.

Good luck Benn. Hard-workers are always appreciated.

Thankful for the good times he brought, but got so damn sick of him being in the top 6 this season. He's good for a few games here and there, but thats it.

So that said, I'm glad to see him gone.

Kid had pretty good hockey sense and a good work ethic. Always seemed to be getting open for chances. He could make occasional magic with the playmakers on Pitt.

Best of luck to him I'll never forget his birthday present to all us fans. Guy gives 110% every time he's out there.

Good Luck in Steeltown Benn! Wished we could've kept him somehow.

I was never crazy about Benn. He was a hard worker, but let's be honest, someone in his situation BETTER be a hard worker. I always found it funny that his game winner against Detroit was a shot that he shanked.

I'd assume so he could play for their AHL team.

I think he turned out to be a "tweener" not good enough for top 2 minutes, not good enough for 3rd line (unless he had stronger complementry line mates which we did not) and to good to be a 4th liner (not big enough to hit allot/grind, etc.)

A scout once called Ferriero a "classic #7 forward"...your description of him fits that to a tee.
