I honestly am just desperate for a move, not a dupuis or benn ferriero signing, i want a legit quality ufa signed or trade for in any position.

As long as it makes the team better, and doesnt mess with the farm.

I think they're waiting on Doan, and I think he'll end up either sticking around in Phoenix or staying out west. As a consequence of waiting for Doan, they probably won't get Semin either.

I think that's out of the Pens hands since I don't think Semin wants to sign until after Doan does. If Doan were to stay in Phoenix then somebody may get really desperate and offer Semin the big money he wants. It's doubtful but it's worth waiting to see if your Alex Semin.

I'm startin to think semin is waiting on doan too. No reason as to why he's not signed by now. His agent knows he can drive the price up some after doan decides and he's the only option at wing left of any ilk. So maybe we don't miss out on him. However I still don't think we sign him. Some team will overpay and blow our offer out of the water. For better or worse. My only hope at current moment is a trade.

I'm hoping for Semin or to a lesser extent Kostitsyn. If they're going to take a risk on someone, better for it to be a UFA than someone you have to give up assets for.

The only hope on that is that Semin isn't getting the long term deal he's looking for, and instead decides to go with a shorter one with a team like the Pens where he can really wrack up some points to aid him getting the deal he's looking for.

Having taken German for 4 years in high school, I am thrilled with the recent thread titles in the free agency threads.

Oh and Shero, please take a chance on Semin.

It's a good thing Shero freed up so much cap space for all the player's he's acquired this summer!

We're a couple weeks into a very slow moving free agent process with a number of big names still on the market and God only knows what trade options to fallback on. People need to be patient.

There are two "big names" left and one is likely to re-sigh with his team. The other is going to chase the money.

The Pens don't have the assets to get the winger they need, only to get a reclamation project and hope for the best.

Shero probably is in hibernation mode considering the CBA situation. Why sign a player to a one year deal if there is a possibility of it being shut down.

What do you mean they don't have the assets to get the winger they need? Have you seen the endless depth that we have in defense?

Why do you think Shero keeps on taking blue chip defensemen, when he should (according to armchair GMs) be taking Filip Forsberg or some other winger? Sign up a stable of stud d-men and then trade them for what you need. It's the same as stockpiling pitchers for a baseball team.

We may not have exactly what Anaheim or Columbus want for Ryan or Nash, but who's to say that Shero is even talking to them about either of those guys? Just because random Twitter garbage has us sort of linked to Nash doesn't mean anything.

How often has Shero surprised us all and grabbed someone that nobody even knew was available? How about always...

Relax brother, he knows what he's doing.

Too bad there's been a moratorium placed on acquiring players at the trade deadline.

Someone mentioned a trade like Kennedy+D for a struggling top-6.

How about Kennedy, Lovejoy, 1st for Okposo and a 3rd? I like Okposo. He would fit in well here, and the Isles are not impressed with his past season.

I've been pining for Okposo for quote some time... Dunno about that 1st round pick though.

Make it happen, Ray!
