I think the best thing about this is the luxury of not only being attached to the Bell Centre, but being downtown, period. It's quite a nice spot too, so I would buy one. Kind of cool to tell everyone I live right in a condo that is attached to the Bell Centre.
I think with 43 Million, you could say you like in a mansion out of town, it doesn't matter, it's still boss.

I personally don't want to live downtown so that is kind of my reasoning.

Btw, your moms a champ.

As I agree with you that the plaza will be moved, but it's not that improbable for a structure of that magnitude to have a large atrium that can be built with either well placed concrete columns or if its a steel/concrete composite, the atrium could be more spacious. Columns for a 50-60 story building can have quite a large diameter. I am more skeptical of the limited area and the plan to have 400 indoor parking spots. With the metro lying underneath the building, they probably can't have a foundation that is super deep for let's say a 5 story sub parking lot. With the first 14 stories being parking and commercial, not sure how they can incorporate the plaza.

I wanna work on this project

Really? I mean, I know it's off-season and we've got nothing to complain about, but seriously, why would you even care. It's more visibility to the Habs and if there is something worth building a skyscraper for in Montreal, well it's something about the Habs for sure. Let's just hate for the sake of it I guess, eh?

Have you ever been to Toronto's? Their sport bar is unmatched in Montreal. Now we will have a real sport bar.

First time I saw it, I wanted to build one in Montreal but no cash...

I agree with this. Real Sports Bar and Grill is pretty awesome and trashes any sports bar the city has.

Not overly happy about the treatment the Plaza is receiving as well as the bricks, and I don't even own one. However, this whole idea is really cool. I just hope they find something to do with the Plaza. When I was finally able to visit Montreal last year I really loved it.

The plaza not only contains bricks, but even statues of legends. Don't worry, it will just be relocated.

It shouldn't be a long process. Once the ground work and foundation are done, i'm sure they'll explore locations near the bell center to return the statues. I would actually prefered they build around the plaza. Having the plaza as a bottom floor would've been awesome. Stairs or a split level would reach the lobby and elevator/stairs the rest of the way.

Everything will be relocated. However, we will not be able to see the bricks or statues until 2015.

The statues and bricks are going to eventually be put on the other side of the building in the Windsor Court from what I've read as chatter.

I think it's actually a better location, to be honest. More of an intimate setting than the current plaza.

I'm not sure about that. Maybe not the bricks, but they can find somewhere to place the statues I'd imagine.

Near the Habs HOF? That would be a good location.

They will not place the statues in a temporary place. I think everything will be put up at same time.

Come to think of it, you're probably right. I think they'll unveil the new plaza all at same time.

I've always wonder if season tickets holders (not corporation) really go to all Habs games.

A new state of the art sports bar similar to Real Sports in Toronto will be in the lobby of the tower.

I care as a resident of Montreal. I love the city's character. Unfortunately, the downtown area is looking more and more like a random North American city. I'd rather Montreal go a different direction than Toronto or Calgary.

He had one bad season not eight. Ticket prices are linked with demand.

I want to buy one of those condos. I've always said, I want a house in the suburbs, and a condo/apartment in downtown Montreal (where I used to work). It would be cool to be able to just laze off after work at the condo, and go home on weekends.

Might make this happen when I start making big bucks.
