He's not the strongest skater, but he can play D alright. He usually plays forward too... The two kids who want to play D are brother and sister so they want to play on the same pairing.
Does your D partner cover well? Like, does he understand where to be on the ice when certain things are going on? If not than it must be super annoying to be with a slower skater who doesn't know what to do.
I play with twins and they always want to be on the same D pairing too. We call them Zack and Cody.
I should build a new team but finding a goalie since no one play goalie around here is gonna be hard shame my friend left to go play in the AHL instead of playing with us

To answer your question, he has decent coverage in his own zone, but when we actually get the puck up ice he doesn't really know where to go. I don't blame him though, you never know when these forwards are gonna screw up and you could get caught up ice.
I drafted two of my friends for the lulz on NHL12 didn't check if some other of them were in.
My D on Be A GM got me killed it was taking so much cap space

And my fowards...were just too stacked all the way to the AHL and so was D I was thin on goalie but I had Lehner and Markstrom.

At least he can play D. When it's 4 on 4, the forwards should have enough space to do it all themselves.
