I was at Wild-Stars games back and he was getting boo'd. Don't know why he would wanna come back here. Anyway, where does he reside now anyways? I'm guessing Texas? Michigan maybe?
I never saw him get booed at any of the Stars games I went to...to include his final one in Dallas. You know the game where WE gave him a standing ovation and even had a short clip on the screens for him?

Yeah I remember that game, but I recollect he did in fact get booed at other games when the Stars were in town. It's been a while though.
He had his chance to end his career here and he passed on it to play with the god damned wings.
Plus he was always talking up the Stars move to Dallas like he genuinely loved the move. I don't like that.
So yeah, no way in hell do I want him here.
He is playing for the team that gives him his check. You don't bite the hand that feeds you. At that junction, was the team already 100% "yes we are going to dallas no matter what?" I wasn't living here then so I ask out of genuine curiosity.
No. Unless Gordon Bombay and Charlie Conway approve.
Well Modano is aware of Bombay's legendary pee-wee status. Just sayin'.

He could have pulled a Coach Orion.

I read a report Modano would listen to the Wild if the came calling for his services. Seems like a bold move by him. I personally would love to see him end his career back where it started.
I would be only ok if he signed a PTO for one PRE-SEASON home game, then immediately retires after that game.
Oh yes we can!
"According to the Youtube Guru, and Purple Moderator Fel 96, Mike Modano is close to signing a 1-year contract with the Wild. PM Fel 96 for details"

I realize that Modano spewed some nonsense as the Stars were moving do Dallas...but for some reason, I still always liked him as a player and when the lockout lifted and he was a free agent, I was really hoping the Wild could bring him into the fold. Was always one of my favorite players. Not many players I would pay to just watch skate, but he was one of them.
