I want a new one soon. I'm thinking Neal is pretty safe. Maybe Despres but the entire defense makes me nervous lol

This is why even though it's lame and a jersey foul, I stick with customized ones.

I chose 29 as my number back in 2002, right before it was "reserved" for Ross Lupaschuk. After that, it went to Orpik, then to MAF. I still kept it anyway.

This backfired back in June when someone noticed a "29" on my arm when I was in PGH and then they noticed MAF's name wasn't in the back.

I went with the retired cup-winning player option. It was actually a gift, but I love my Errey jersey.

Staal and Michalek jerseys were $50.00 youth and $75.00/150.00 adult.

Picked up a Staal for my son. He wore #11 for dek hockey because of him.

Haha that's awesome! Especially with no Crosby in the mix, wow!

How important is the number a player has to you wanting the jersey? Some players that I like have numbers that I don't and it would actually make me hesitant to buy their jersey or tshirt haha.

Oh, and did anyone see a Glass t-shirt or jersey today? Is he wearing 15?

I don't care about the number unless its 12. I've worn 12 any time I could since I was like 5 years old playing soccer because my older brother wore 13 so I figured I'd be right below him haha. If we had signed Malone I would have bought his jersey the minute it was announced. Richard Park not so much

I can't think of any numbers that would turn me away from a jersey though.

Just saw Macaroni had 12 in camp. Are most of those just randomly issued numbers? Google images have him in 91 normally.

LOl I like having the number that I like or I might not buy it. 87 was my favourite number because I used to have a plain black hockey jersey for street hockey and it had 87 on it because it matched something related to me...(its personal ). I can't believe we won the lottery and I was like, wow, pure luck.

I have:

Crosby Home
Crosby Away
Crosby Rimouski Jersey
Malkin Home
Staal Home
Letang Away
Orpik Alternate
Neal Home

A couple of my friends and I went to the Philly game. Not a playoff but a regular season one and by coincedence we all had Crosby & Malkin jerseys. It was pretty crazy because we had a couple Philly fans behind us with Giroux, Hartnell and one Timonen. They were cool guys though.

We had about 15 or 20 Nordiques fans sitting behind us when we were there they were also cool guys

I prefer single digits, teens, and double numbers (22, 33, etc) myself. Otherwise I'm not a fan of higher numbers for the most part.

Yea I had a tough call, I bought a winter classic jersey (the dark blue) and narrowed it down to Letang and Michalek, luckily I went with Tanger.

It's tough, besides Neal, Malkin and Sid, anyone is a crapshoot. MAF seems safe though.

Well, here's the worst part for me.

29 is taken now (MAF).

29x2 is taken now (Letang)

29x3 is taken now (Sid)

29 inverted is taken now (Vokoun).

9 is taken now (Dupuis).

2 is taken now (Niskanen).

What does that leave?

How about:

11 = 9 + 2

or

7 = 9 - 2

That's even worse. We had a brief period where 11 was gone too on TOP of everything else.

Holy God Damn.

And if Despres sticks, he's probably getting 7.

So I guess 11 is next for me, if I get another jersey soon.

You know UFA is moving slowly when the UFA thread turns into a discussion about jerseys. Hopefully there's some more movement soon.

Is there any team with the reverse situation as us in their pipelines (more forwards than defensemen)? i wouldnt mind swaping strait and/or bortuzzo for some forward prospects. We have too many and seeing they have to pass through waivers i rather trade them than lose them for nothing.

The last two jerseys I bought were a Goligoski baby blue Winter Classic, and a Michalek dark blue Winter Classic. Lame. Granted, the Goligoski jersey was obtained for 40 dollars from a clearance sale at some sports card store that was closing, and it's a number 13 jersey, which Guerin took from him. I'll still wear that one from time to time. Why not.

University of Texas football (you can see the Longhorn face tattoo if you look closely). I thought Tennessee at first too but upon closer examination of the hottie, she's a UTA chick.

So, that's one reason to be happy we did not get Parise then, right? 11 not taken.
