I voted John Gibson in the last poll but like few posters said, Andersen has huge potential and he's almost ready to play in the NHL so I picked him over Gibson. Gibson could still end up being the better goalie but he's still few years away.
I'll go for Rakell here. Potential great two-way physical 2nd liner with some flair and skills. Hugely impressive at Swedens championship run at WJC. Won't be surprised if he gets his chance in the 3rd line in the 2013/14-season when/if Koivu and/or Teemu has retired.
Our prospect pool is stacked when guys like friberg and welinski haven't even made it to the discussion. DSP has shown more upside than Rakell so got to put him there. Anderson > Gibson but neither will play in the NHL next season. So this spot got to go to DSP.
Absolutely. I'm itching to vote for kerdiles, but I can't until DSP, Rakell, Gibson, Andersen, and Karlsson are up there.
Don't forget Welinski and Friberg . And there's still Cramarossa, O'Brien and Clark who could turn out to be good bottom 6/pairing players. And Roy could turn into something useful with the skillset he has. Plus, I'm still hoping that Maroon could put it together and not end up being a career AHL player.
Had a hard time choosing between Rakell and DSP, but ended up going with Rakell. Even though DSP is a safer bet having already seen NHL time, I'm high on Rakell and think he will be a great complimentary player in our top 6.
Interesting to see the Gibson vs Anderson debate. I'll probably be voting for Gibson when it comes to it, based on potential and upside.
