Falness raving about Granlund on that play, but it was all Fontaine holding at the line and Zucker with the beautiful reception and pass to catch Granlund mid stride.

Is there going to be 4on4 despite the score?

Huge hit by Dumba, but if that was one of the pretty boys on Edmonton who can't keep their heads up, he'd be meeting with Shanny. Nice clean hit because Foucault wasn't doing anything stupid, but those can be dangerous when the hittee is a moron.

Nice first half. Impressed by the "big" names.

Last game, no one stood out to me. It was just a huge cluster and it looked like shinny. Now it looks like they are playing systems and allowing themselves some open room.

Agreed. Almost could have been called for charging. Dumba left his feet on the hit.

Coyle has looked good down low with the puck

Zucker looks good

Thomas has some speed, hope the Wild keep their eyes on

Dumba not impressed with his passing nor puck control ... but he can hit

Brodin - not impressed at all, poor pass decisions and puck control on the blue line. I expected MUCH more considering how you all have been gushing about him.

Graovac - looks raw, but I see potential in this kid

haven't seen enough of the others to really mention them yet.

You all go to the flashy Dumba side.
I'm sticking with Brodin.

Exactly. On the replay it seems he made contact before leaving his feet, but a lot of officials would at least consider calling that. Still, I like the attitude and willingness out of him. As the scouting report has said, he needs to tone some stuff down.

Seriously Falness, all it does in Finland and Scandinavia is rain. It's never sunny there.

Yep, I like that he made the hit. It was a great play that created a turn-over. Correctly, he kept his arms and elbows down - my only criticism was his jump-timing. When he makes the NHL, he'll really need to be careful about that.

1st Half Note:

Brodin is everything Yeo wants/needs. Really good first pass that allows for quick transition to attack. Two or three plays, one directly to Kyle Thomas that led to a scoring chance.

Kyle Thomas is noticeable every shift. Out of all the invites, he has easily been the best. Always involved, makes good choices. Think he's gonna be a player.

Zucker and Granlund playing give and go a lot. The Granlund goal was a result of good positioning and his linemates' work. Nice of Zucker to put it on net for the rebound.

Larsson simply plays an NHL game. Strong on boards, nice passes, and love that he goes to the net. Does all the little things...NHL goal he had there.

Did not notice Coyle until the goal. Then noticed his next shift down low. I do see his game thriving in the NHL due to his ability to protect puck/cycle.

Bulmer. He plays an NHL game, too. He plays along the boards and puts pucks into areas for teammates to put pressure on D. Love his physical play.

Phillips...makes smart plays...definitely a pass first guy

Gunnarsson made some poor choices with the puck. Liked his skating and passing first scrimmage. Not so far today.

Seeler. Again, have not noticed how he is defensively but really like his wheels.

Broda. Mature body and mature game. Don't think he has a lot of potential left but will be a depth guy that will be good in Houston. Has improved his skating over past two years.

Haula and Bertschy have been invisible to me.

Graovac has not been as noticeable but did stand out one shift. Like his skating and size.

Did not Bussieres as much.

Leaving Dumba for last since he had two great hits. Great timing. That is how he has to get into the game. Just let him take his time to fill out and he will be punishing guys.

Somewhat true. It rains often, but of course there's some sunshine in between rains . But lately it has been raining all the time though, so annoying when you have to work outside.

Just a note on Phillips, he's definitely pass first but unlike our pass first guys he's so willing to put the puck on net if the pass isn't there. He's not going to force things like Butch or Koivu.

Don't forget the non-stop snowing 8 months a year!
