A slice of how not to play baseball on that entire sequence.

What the **** was Jones thinking even attempting that throw?

That's just inexcusable.

I'm pretty much on the Marte or bust train. Either use him to land Upton, or call him up pretty soon. Either way, we at least end up with two good outfielders.

They were fine until you expressed interest in watching them so I'm going to go ahead and say this is your fault, bloke.

I think the last Pirates shirt I had was from 97 when they added the red trim to their unis/cap. Kind of glad they lost the red, the classic whites and the grey jerseys are so nice.

I'm leaning towards one of these two shirts.

I've got an "Ask Teke" t-shirt! A home made job from a buddy that made several. Has the photo of Teke that Root sports uses for that segment of the post game show.

Doesn't get more ghetto than that, lol.

I wasn't expecting much considering where we were playing. IIRC in our first series this season in MIL, we got some good breaks to take that series. This series hasn't been good. It sucks, but I see them shaking it off. I think they are strong group mentally, with solid leadership this year. They have shown ability to bounce back from losing a series. Or 3, 4 in a row.

The Pirates haven't lost a series in ages so it was due. It's just a shame that it came after the break. It makes it really easy for the Pirate fan's habitual train of thought to think "Uh oh, the wheels are falling off after the break." when that's likely not the case.

Sorry Shrimper you had to see us on a bad day. But baseball, with a 162 games on a schedule is a marathon. Check in on us from time to time. Should be a good run till the end.

Not a great way to start the break, but gotta bounce back against the Rockies. Losing the games in which J Mac and Burnett start is a big blow... Usually that was 2/5 wins in the cycle no matter what.

Marte was not in the lineup for Indy but is still with the team, so not sure what's going on. Likely means he's not called up, and might mean that trade talks are as serious as some reports indicate. Could easily just be a day off.

Estrada Ks 11, then Gallardo fans 14. Thats simply inexcusable. Embarassing. This isn't Cain or Verlander out there.

1/11 7 Ks for Pedro that series. McGehee with 6 whiffs. Sutton with 5.. in all 44 strikeouts in the 3 games.

And people complain about the NHL schedule!

Might think about buying the baseball for dummies book. Or just learn myself.
