Ignoring the ******** false equivalency between eating meat and abusing animals for the lowest common denomenator of entertainment here. I just don't have the patience for a discussion with anyone who would make that point.

I find it interesting you just assumed I meant the Chuck Wagon races. There are accidents, but that's the least offensive of a series of offensive events in the rodeo.

I'm not even sure why, in this day and age, calf-roping and streer wrestling are even legal. Probably the same reason much of the circus stuff is still legal: Apathy to the animal rights cause.

Worse, though, it's a part of the "culture" of this provence.

If you're talking about doing it for the sake of personal entertainment then I agree.

In terms of a farmer doing it on their farm then all I have to say is you've obviously never been exposed to farm life.

If anyone has a chance to listen to the new TDKR soundtrack, they should. It's pretty awesome, probably the best of the entire trilogy and classic Zimmer.

I didn't think that it was quite as unique as The Dark Knight's or as excellent as Inception's but I really like it. It contains some really heroic sounding motifs that are sure to elicit strong emotional reactions when I hear them in theatres.

Have you checked out the bonus tracks? They're all over Youtube. The End is creepy as hell and sad at the same time.

The bonus tracks are what I'm mainly referring to. The End is probably the best non-Zimmerish track in the trilogy.

I thought the The Dark Knight took the electronica and white noise too far, although I guess it fit The Joker as a villain.

Because animals that are bread for food are treated like household pets. How delusional are you? I think it's time you disconnected yourself from Ingrid Newkirks teets.

The manipulated guitar strings really complemented the Joker perfectly, I thought.

Zimmer is at his best when he's collaborating with somebody IE James Newton Howard on the first two Batmans and Johnny Marr on Inception.

Agree with most of that, but I still think TDKR is better. It manages to give better depth and isn't quite as repetitive as TDK or BB.

Imagine the Fire brings to mind Zimmer at his bombastic best IE the Pirates of the Caribbean films.

Yeah, if there is one thing Zimmer is criticized for, it's his repetitiveness. TDKR is quite a good listen with more variety and spice than TDK and BB. Imagine the Fire is a good example, like you said.

It's a good thing, because I was looking forward to this score immensely. Next up for me is Thomas Newman's Skyfall OST.

I'm looking forward to picking it up tomorrow. The critics seem to be loving the film so far as well. I hope it continues.

The Skyfall score is going to be great.

Skyfall could go either way. Newman isn't well known for rousing action cues so it could be a huge musical flop in that regard. That's why I'm so eager to see what he's got planned.

I was curious about this soundtrack.. I loved Gladiator and Inception soundtracks. Didn't care about The Dark Knight even though I was still good.

That was one of his best games.
If he played like that for all his games, we would be golden.

I think so.
Where we shut out the Flyers 2-0 and murdered the Flames 6-1.
Those games were on Feb 21 and Feb 23.

I get giddy just thinking about it.
