David Desharnais, visited Kangirsuk (Northern Quebec) recently on a fishing trip. Here, he's posing July 11 with children from the Kangirsuk day camp, he's not much taller than the kids, never realized how small he actually is.
Kangirsuk is about 140 miles from Kuujjuaq, where another former Canadien, Joe Juneau currently resides.

Jeez this board is bitter these days. I'm not sure about DD the next 5 years, but who cares, he takes pride in the CH, and he goes and does stuff like this. Meanwhile, I drink Martinis and complain about the heat in Hong Kong. Good for him. Un Vrais Gars. Love the guy.

I wonder how much of this board isn't from/residing in North America. It's more than I thought.
I love Desharnais and I actually couldn't find him in the picture for about 5-seconds. Talk about a "Where's Waldo?" .. they could make a lot of money selling yearbooks with Desharnais in group photos "Where's David?!"
What Plekanec lacks to be as good as Desharnais offensively is not vision but raw talent.
I tend to disagree. Desharnais isn't a flashy player. Plekanec has more flair than DD. Desharnais has been an offensive force at every level and it wasn't because of game breaking speed or toedrags, between the legs moves or whatever. He has great vision. It's not to discount Plekanec's ability or vision, but I just think DD has better vision. I understand if others feel Plekanec has more, but I just disagree with the notion I guess.
