Subban refused qualifying offer

Patrick Caisse ‏@patrickcaisse
Pas une surprise, mais l'agent de P.K. Subban m'indique qu'il a officiellement refusť l'offre qualificative.

Not a surprise but Subban's agent confirmed that he refused the qualifying offer.

99,9% of the time? No one accepts them, especially since after ELC contracts the QO doesn't even have bonuses.

No sure if sarcastic. I was wondering if you actually meant to say "last time someone accepted a QO offer".

There's nothing wrong here. Coming from an ELC, can't see him accept that kind of deal. Pretty sure he's looking for more than usual 2 years 2nd contract and that's the reason of the lenght.

I'm not being sarcastic. I really didn't put two and two together. Considering so many players get signed for more than their QO, I really dont understand how I didn't see how often it gets rejected. Little embarrassed.

So what. He will get a lot more anyways with his next contract. What's the problem here?

I always saw the qualifying offer as more of a "make sure this guy doesn't hit UFA" deal. Nothing to get worked up over

I'm pretty sure that Subban will not quit the city who made him a god and where he can almost double his salary in endorsement.

That's exactly it. It's a paperwork formality. No one in Habs' front office expected that to come back signed.

Subban for Marchand. You are refusing OUR offer? You only deserve to annoy Bruins fans.

Just to be sure.....

Classless. You can't just come into this league and have salary demands. No respect for the organization.

Trade him to Boston.

Hamilton for Subban strait up. We'll give him as many years as he wants at Chara's money or a little less (if Green gets six per you got to.)
