Sounds like a nice little rivalry.

I've been able to work out trades with multiple teams and have had good negotiations with some other teams that didn't work out but were good discussions.

Negotiations with you on the other hand, well, we can refer to your own quote.

Maybe we'll be able to work together in the football league, but I'm done sending proposals to you in our baseball league.
Your trade offers to me, in a pitching heavy league:
  • Brett Lawrie for Jered Weaver.
  • Votto for Starlin Castro and Jered Weaver. When I already had Teixeira at 1B.
  • Votto for Latos and Jered Weaver last week was terrible.
  • McCann and Posey for Strasburg. You know, 'cuz I apparently need two more catchers (Montero and Pierzynski weren't enough?). And I need to give up a CY candidate to get them.

You're right, my quote above is still accurate.
Learn how to offer trades that will improve both teams, not just yours.

I probably would have traded Strasburg. He only has about 10 starts left.

What good is having 4 catchers on your team?

I think Washington will cave in and remove the pitch limit on Strasburg.

Trade chips. Catcher's experience the most injuries of all position players; there is also a large drop-off from elite players to the rest at this position. Not to mention catchers get the most off-days of position players, so there is some value in being able to rotate catchers when they're getting rest.

It took some time, but I was able to help out a couple of teams with deals for Buster Posey and Brian McCann, and got some useful players in return.

Salvador Perez is a beast!

And how can you have anything bad to say about Chooch Ruiz?? He's been around 1.000 OPS for most of the season.

I'm pretty happy with the way I have handled the catcher position to date.

Too bad Votto just went down; maybe you can finally start gaining some ground on me once I'm done ****** Walden's Beard!

My apologies, I just realized you meant, why would YOU want 4 catchers.

I would consider all of the above to be initial proposals intended to be starting points for negotiation.

There is no manager who would take on 4 catchers and then try to pawn them off later for anything of value. Get real.

Well, we have 11 of 12 mangers. If we don't fill up I will have to delete the last team or open it to the public. Please advise everyone.

I just browsed through the rankings Yahoo has provided us and I don't like their list. Just a warning to newer owners to be prepared and don't rely on Yahoo. Owners like Josh & I will be coming to the draft with lists made by professionals but that's why we're champions. BEWARE!
