Is this the reason that ridiculous Subban being shopped thread is on the main trade board here? Honestly I never thought I'd ever see the day Bruin fans wanting PK on their team.

Umm... no. I think you'll find that there are plenty of players who have fulfilled their ELC's but haven't cracked the full time NHL roster yet, and end up signing the Q.O. put before them. I think you'll even find plenty of "role players" (players who crack the NHL on the 4th line, for example, and still find themselves patrolling said 4th line three years later. And without having investigated it further at this point, I still have to assume that more than a handful of those guys actually accept their Q.O. around the league each year.
edit: Just checked the FA board, and I think we even have an example today of someone signing their Q.O.: Teddy Peckman (known to everyone except Don Cherry as Theo Peckham) just re-signed with the Oilers for $1.075M, which I have to assume is his Q.O. (will have to double-check, though).

I watched a lot of playoff games and could not believe how terrible most Dman are at making passes on the PP. Markov makes it look so easy, he is one of the best PP specialist around.

Nevertheless, having both of them on the bench and properly playing makes us a playoff team.
They are both high tier D talents.

I'm aware. You just took my 99.9% literally. In regards to free agents who aren't depth players, it's rarely signed. In regards to 1 mil(or so) and less, it's signed more often than not unless they push for a one way deal and accept less in doing so.

Well, it is a pretty gross exaggeration, plus you said "no one accepts them", so... I mean... that's just not even close to right. Maybe 99.9% of players in almost exactly Subban's position refuse them, but "on the whole" or league/NHLPA-wide the number is far more significant than 0.1%, I believe.
