What would you give for Kari Lehtonen?

If he were to be put on the block, what is an offer you would offer that you think Dallas would take, not including Saad?

Dallas wouldn't put him on block and to get him would require Kane or Toews (There GM doesn't trade players in conf unless overpayment)

He is the only reason the Stars have been close to playoffs these last few years

Hawks offer Marcus Kruger, 1st rounder, and Adam Clendening

then Dallas trades him to the Eastern conference for a 4th rounder.

I remember watching Lehtonen play with the Wolves Unfortunately, I doubt he would want to come back to Chicago

Dallas resigns him during season anyway imo.

In all seriousness, Dallas would want something Nash worthy.

Sharp+ 1st + Saad + crawford is what they'd want.

I'd give them

Crawford+ Saad

Or Crawford + McNeil/1st + Stalberg

they might -- if they do lets take a crack at Jack

no chance we get him...

I'd love him and I think Bowman will try to get him next year as UFA. I'm not sold on Stars paying him what he wants and he's going to test the market.

In a trade the Stars would require an over payment from us including part(s) of our core.

Like I said before, I think that Kari will test the market because the Stars won't offer him that big money he may want with the young goalies they have.

I would LOVE Kari here in CHI...elite talent, just injury prone, sooo...we'd need a solid backup, too...hehe.

Any goalie that can do this:

...is alright with me.
-Matt.

If all you want is a goalie who's good in SO's/breakaways, we have one of the best in the league already.

what's your point? (and it was one breakaway. Singular, not plural.)

Belfour was against Pittsburgh in the 92 finals...and he wasn't that great IMO. Hasek was far better.

yeah, I meant 92. And re-read my post with the quote. I was going for sarcasm. Neimi was awful in the Finals against Philly. We won the series because he was better than Michael Leighton, and Jeff Carter hit him in the mask in OT lol

the point is that Niemi is a proven #1 goalie in the NHL now, Belfour a SC winner and HoF goalie too (will be)

Crawford had one great season (from Craws POV) where he was an average starter.... Crawford at his best = Average starter

I'd give a lot to get Kari now. JN just won't give him to us
