Great news! I love Green Day and was hoping for a new album. 3 is awesome! Even if it's scary because that's a lot of stuff in there and bad songs are to be expected.

Getting a "Clash" vibe from it.

Not impressed with the sound/style. Wasn't a huge fan of 21CB and this sounds similar to it.

That sounds like 21CB? Did you even listen to the album?

I just think that guitar sounds closer to 21CB than to AI. I didn't love 21CB, so just a little skeptical.

They were one of my first three bands too. The days of them being in my top-5 are long gone, but they are still top-20 I think. I'm a GD loyalist; I'll be getting these, and probably enjoying them.

Believe me it's not. They abandoned that sound. I listened to a few songs form last year's secret shows. It's very different.

I would post the Dos trailer but that's not appropriate for this site.

The first single is coming out the 16th.

It's not bad. I think I'll get used to it with a few more listens.

I keep waiting for the song to pick up, but nothing ever happens. It sounds like a filler track off Warning.

Rush out 3 albums within a few months?

What did you expect, of course its going to be a terrible rushed product.

Its obvious they are just concerned about making a quick buck.

Ill be shocked if there is 3-4 decent songs totsl in the 3 albums.

This is what I thought, even though anything off of Warning kicks this song into next week.

Can only hope that the next few releases are better...

I think that's a little unfair at this stage. I could have (as well as the band and the label) predicted your exact post before you even said it.

For a band as huge as Green Day, they don't need to "rush out an album for a quick buck". That's such an uninformed and irrational way of thinking given how much of the music has been released.

I definitely won't argue about any of the songs sucking or not; with 3 discs it's bound to happen. But to make the ever-so-easy and oh-so-typical knee jerk comment like "they wanna make a quick buck" is silly.

You don't know the band. You don't know how financially set they are (neither do I). You don't know their integrity and pride they may or may not take in a given endeavor. It's just not that rational of a thing to say. It's a typical fan/message board comment, if you will.

Considering Dookie alone has probably sold more copies than all of Justin Bieber's albums combined (only mentioning this cause everyone is making a big deal about all the Lambos he's been buying) I'd say they're pretty loaded. Which at times is annoying, BJ always b****es about class warfare yet he's never seen wearing anything but designer outfits and ****.

What do you expect exactly? Is he not supposed to have an opinion or champion certain causes because he's earned a fortune? The point is that celebrities should use their influence for good causes. Expecting them to shop at Kohls just so you can relate to them is rather silly.

Green day is at the end of their life (some might say that passed). This is the last hoora to get a ton of money from the die hearts buying all three cds.

Not exactly the only thing that annoys me. He also whines about the evil of corporations, yet his band does stuff like Green Day Rockband...I'm really not going to get into this. I like the band and I like the song. That's all that matters.

Why do you think these albums were rushed? Their last album was released well over 3 years ago. It's not like they're releasing Uno in September and then recording Dos in only 2 months. This is a marketing gimmick, that's all, as opposed to a double/triple album. There is nothing rushed about it. Although your latter point may be valid.

Edit wow I forgot how to read.

How do you know these albums are rushed? Their wikipedia says they began writing this material during the 21st tour (late 09 and 2010).

If this is the last hoorah to get a ton of money, then you would think the first album would be the best to convince fans to purchase the 2nd and 3rd albums correct?

Most bands produce more songs than they release per every album, so perhaps some of their older songs they wrote but cut out from production they went back and revamped.

I'm not a huge Green Day fan but from your logic, Uno should be a great album since it should contain their best if they want fans to grab the other 2 correct?
