There is a lack sound now in Detroit, as everyone is holding their collective breaths wondering what the terms are.

Be interesting to see what he settled upon. More or less than his last contract?

Well I would hope he would stick around after trading the 1st rounder to get him. Hopefully short term though, 1-2 years, $1.3mill per

$1.3m per?

He was paid $3.25m this past season. Expect a raise or close to the same.

the man who cant be named called Quincey re-signing yesterday and said figures should be around 3.5M per. Still don't know how Eklund is allowed on this site but he isnt. I've seen more correct breaking news from him in 18 days than I have from Eklund in 5 years

If you toss enough crap on the wall, it'll stick... whether his name can be named or not. The anonymous hacks out there are really anonymous for a reason, bc they don't know sweet FA.

true but I've noticed pretty much anything he says will be announced by a certain time or is done ends up happening

It really isn't a good cap hit if he keeps playing like he did for most of last season. He was awful for both the Avs and Wings. With Lidstrom and Stuart gone, the Wings will probably have to use him even more now. That's a scary thought (for the Wings).

He always has a stretch where he plays great but then I have no idea what happens to him. He goes from playing like a top four defenseman to playing like an AHL defenseman. Just no consistency in his game at all. At least it's only two years though.
