I want weber to sign, but i would also be curious to see what kind of return a full on bidding war would generate

He's lied to people here, in person. He's lied to the newspapers. He's lied to Poile.

He's not an example of why players don't sign in Nashville. He's a little ****. He did'nt give Poile an opportunity to have the last bid. I don't think you can logically use Suter not signing as an example of the owners haven't dropped the cash and shown the committment bs.

Rinne signed long term. He's happy here.

Sports is a roller coaster. That's a given.

Just because Weber and Suter are "elite players" they don't get to lie.

Frankly, I think you just like to argue with me. It wouldn't matter what I said.
Of course I like to argue with you, what fun would this place be if we didn't.

Suter did lie to Poile so to lump Weber in with him on that at this point is a bit much. He may be lying too but from all accounts that I've seen and heard about Weber, that's not his MO.

If Weber stays none of this really matters at the end of the day because I think other guys will want to sign here. If he leaves, I think people would start to question what's going on in Nashville.

It has been a cluster for a loooong while. And I believe it was all due to Suter! I think Weber was waiting to see what Suter was going to do. Of all accounts, Weber was in a state of Disbelief when Suter left. I believe he thought Suter would sign on with Nashville to be his line partner for their careers. So now Weber is taking some time to think everything thru. I think he is torn now. I think he always was planning on staying but now is thinking, maybe I should consider a move but I don't really want to leave Nashville though.

I would like for Weber to stay and give it to Suter when he returns to Smashville. Hope Suter tries to stop a Weber blast from the blue line and takes it in the cojones!

If Shea was going to sign long-term here, he would have by now.

am I being too negative?

I think you are more upset that you might have to change your handle.

He's been my favorite player for almost 4 years. It will hurt.

but I plan on selling the ID to the highest bidder if he's gone.

You need to maximize the value. I say trade it for two or three handles that are ready to see major minutes now, and then another handle or two that have potential.
