I miss pre lockout hockey. The hooking was ridiculous though. I forgot how crazy it was lol.

Also Tortorella still hasn't changed.

Man, if they called either game by the rules they go by now, there would have been a million penalties called. LOL.

the 2004 team for me is still my favorite of the non cup winners. Obviously the 2010 team is right up there. 1A and 1B.
the 2004 team had to go thru so much as a group. they left it all on the ice. Nobody should ever question, the heart, courage and passion of that 2004 group. I get chills just watching those 2 vids in this thread.

Not as funny as Sundin getting the first star, mind you! Ahhhhh, it's really the gift that keeps on giving!
Sundin is the main reason that game went to OT. If it wasnt for him we wouldnt of had JR's magic moment.
I never get worked up ver the 3 stars. Pretty sure they had those 3 stars locked in before OT anyway.

One year the Flyers are going to make it thought the playoffs without injuries to the defense. That will be the year we win the cup.

It starts with not playing the crap out your top defensemen during the regular season. I don't see that happening in the near future.

Exactly. That team as so full of veterans that just knew it was their last shot. JR, LeClair, Desjardins, Zhamnov, Primeau, Kapanen, Malakhov... Recchi. It really was the last go around for all but Rex. The only sports team that I appreciate on the same level is the 08 Phils, who had the appropriate amount of luck to go with the skill and determination. 2010 Flyers are close but still can't match up.

That's awesome. I really despised that Leafs team for some reason, so it was great to see them lose in that fashion. If they had come back to win that series after Tucker ran Kapanen, I would have definitely broken some things in the house.

Yeah I'll say that was the 2nd best moment since '87 just behind Game 7 up in Boston. Just everything leading up to that PP goal by Gagne to give the Flyers a 4-3 lead was incredible. That team should have a movie made about them considering all the off ice drama, the coaching change, the goalie carousel, the shootout, and the comeback.

It's subjective of course but the 1997 run was fun until the Finals. Game 4 at NYR:

Druce's late SHG, the Rangers comeback, Lindros' PPG.

Save by Esche at 2:00 is SUPER key in that game.

Amusing/amazing to see how excited the fans were getting every time the Leafs got into the offensive zone (even if they didn't have a good scoring chance).

There is no possible way I can ever watch that clip and NOT get chills. It's become second nature to me.

I love that team more than any other team I've ever seen.

Oh man. Two of my favorite Flyers games in one place.

I knew we were winning that game when Giroux had his shift. It was clear.

I'd like to add in WINNING the division.

Winning the Atlantic historically is the difference between finishing (1) (2) and having to face the Florida Panthers or Ottawa Senators, and finishing (4) (5) and having to face the Rangers, Penguins, Bruins, etc.

Do they have the 1974 Cup game? I've never seen the whole thing.
