I can't wait for Brodin to get here if only to watch him clown people with his skating.

love brodin, he must be good but i was at thurs dev camp and he seemed pretty quiet out there. i mean i saw he made a couple good plays in particular in the corners to get the puck out of the zone, and one play rushing back into the dzone and recovering the puck in the corner. but he also got absolutely dangled by zucker, so how can he fair against nhl'rs? i want him to play here now but is it the right time?

I saw that play but I also saw him shut it down the next time Zucker tried it.

Voted Dumba. I know he's raw and all but I think he can potentially add sooo much to this team if he pans out. He brings hard hitting, point production, quick feet, leadership and more. People say you can better gauge a player by playing him against the best players of their own age. Dumba led all scorers at the 2012 U18's. As a defencemen he led the tournament in scoring. I find that extremely impressive and can't wait to see more from him on the international stage!

Brodin, but Coyle and Hackett are neck and neck with him.

Brodin is a #1 prospect. Swedish defencemen aren't myth unlike swedish twins. And no Sedins aren't particularly hot.

Brodin, as i have faith in him getting the offense also working as he leaves SEL.

Really hard to say who is #3, they all have potential.

I do believe Brodin is more NHL ready but i'm more interested in Coyle, so went with him.

Surprised this one's such a landslide. I voted Coyle and honestly I'm not sure Brodin would even be my #3. I'm excited for the stability Brodin will provide, but I think I'd put Dumba above him for much higher upside. Brodin's not going to be a superstar. That's not a crticism; that's just his style of play.

I think he could be a 30-40 point #2 defenseman for 10-15 years. That's pretty huge.

I thought Brodin would win, just not by this much. Also amazed at how little love Dumba is getting. Minnesota has a great prospect pool but in some cases he's pushing his draft spot on the Wild prospect depth chart.

With Brodin being as good as everyone is saying, how would he not make the line up next year?

Because there are a half-dozen defensemen on one-way contracts.

Welcome!

Thanks! I got sick of reading Hf Boards everyday without replying. And is Spurgeon of those one-way contract defensemen? Because I would rather see Brodin out there rhen Spurg

Nope, Scandella and Spurgeon are the only 2 having 2-way deals.

Scandella, Brodin and Spurgeon are on their entry-level contracts, which are always two-ways. Guys like Prosser, Stoner and Falk are on one-ways and would have to clear waivers.
