Wow, our doctors are top notch.

This gets me really excited about a completely healthy Gagne next season. If Gagne returns to 30 goal form, that gives us an unbelievable amount of firepower in the top six. Richards could very well put up 60+ assists with a healthy Gagne and Carter on his wings next season.

What's the over/under on how many times this will be repeated in the off-season, now that we know Gagne is finally healthy?

I think it's a fair bet to say you will. Gagne is an elite winger, and has years of history with a great playmaking center in Richards. I got to see them for years in Phily and they had great chemstry, Richie always put the puck where Gagne would be. Just one of those things that came easy. Sutter is smart that way, and doesnt that give the Kings a killer top 6?

I know. It doesn't help that we have no hockey stuff going on and a probable work stoppage to deal with.

Seeing Richie and Gagne together would be fantastic. I almost don't care who the other winger is -- they seemed to be able to work with anyone. Seeing a healthy Gagne playing his game is better than all of it though.

I can't wait for Simon to start rockin in the FIRST round of the playoffs instead of coat tailing at the end...and then re-signs with LA for yet another hometown discount.

Also, with Gagne our PP unit should stay as good as the one we used on New Jersey.

LAK Doctors:
Tennis ball-sized mass near central nerve on Gagne? No problem.

Knee bent 70 degrees wrong way on Kopitar? No problem.

Keep glass JWill healthy a whole season? No problem.

Concussion on Richards? No problem.

Mysterious weird injury on incoming player Fraser? No problem.

Keeping Brown, Lewis and Clifford playing in the playoffs after headfirst dart checks into the boards? No problem.

Patch up that ugly mug on Scuderi? No problem.

Keeping nearly an entire team on the ice for an entire playoff run? Hey, No problem!

Choking on pancakes... Out two months.

This I know quite well as I used to be in the medical industry in LA. A lot of top notch hospitals are there and a lot of specialists around Beverly Hills and Cedar Sinai and such.

Gagne is easily one of my favorite players. Reading this made me feel really happy. Couldn't be happier that he is now completely (potentially) healthy. I'll just leave this here...

Remember back when every injury a top-line player suffered ended up worse than speculated and led to things like retirements?

This is all Karma I tell ya. Karma for the crappy luck this franchise has historically had. No more cheating stick measurers. No more Allison and Deadmarsh back by Xmas. No more BS calls when Courtnall tries to kill our goalie and his team ends up on a major. 3 cups in a row, I'm calling it now.

Aside from Allison and Deadmarsh, that also happened to Valeri Bure and Alyn McCauley. Roenick suffered from a concussion courtesy of Denis Gauthier in a pre-season game against the Coyotes as well. The Kings had the worst luck possible when it came to injuries to important players from 1998 through 2007.

Don't forget about Ziggy's freak injury
Didn't realize he was over a ppg over his career. That during the dead puck era. What an offensive player.

It's just a guess, but I'm sure all the players go to Kerlan Jobe.

They were developing bionic groin technology...it took about 6 years to clone Blake, Fiset and Storr into full specimens useful for experimentation. Now in 2008, our goaltenders and defensemen, even Blake on his return trip to LA, no longer suffer from these injuries.

Calling Gagne elite at this point in his career is a bit of a stretch IMO. I think we should all be thrilled if can stay healthy and score 25+ goals.

If Gagne plays more than 65 games, I would be shocked.

The guy in the last 7 years, has put in two seasons over 75 games.

I remember a time when we sent our injured players to the Super 8 Motel.
