Don't see why anybody would think this is a bad move. You're potentially getting, in my opinion, one of the top 2 D men in the game. It'd be near impossible to get him otherwise and you're risking him signing long-term with the Preds but who cares, go for it! He's exactly what Philly was missing after Pronger went down. Worry about signing guys later. Seriously, people are worrying about signing Voracek as a reason to not get one of the most dominant d men in the NHL?

What I love about the Voracek thing is the fallout. If he gets moved for anything more than a single 2nd, makes you really wonder if Bowman got bent over in our cap crunch. It will be interesting to see.
losers of the offseason: Detroit. Lost Lidstrom & Stuart, couldn't replace them and have a lot of Cap Space left. Sinking ship
Really? You're going to say that Detroit loses more than Nashville this off-season? Stuart didn't want to be in Detroit and Lidstrom was 42 and clearly not the same D-man he once was. Nashville just lost more.
What is ridiculously high to one is just a regular day's work to another. And the owners are not legally allowed to get together and manage their budgets like a unit.
When the salaries for all 30 teams are held to the standard of the top 5 or 6 team payrolls, you are going to need regulation.
Sure, and another man's trash is another dude's treasure, but I'm not going to think highly of someone that covets some cheese stuck to the roof of a discarded pizza box.
He didn't say the biggest loser. Just that they lost out on signings and the like. He is German and his English can be a little abrupt. So relax please.
It's not like this team lost it's #1 Dman or in Nashville's case, could lose #1 and #2.
The Blues. I don't see them repeating that type of success. They were exposed in the playoffs.
With Brian Elliott in net
No doubt much better team with Halak in playoffs then Elliott
And wish the Hawks could have gotten exposed in 2nd round instead of 1st round ,, And hey its not like the Blues lost to cup champion or anything
Losing to Kings in round 2 is not getting exposed , Losing to Coyotes in 1st round with some of the worst goaltending the NHL has seen in recent memory in OT of game 3 and 4 is getting exposed
If anyone thinks signing Oduya was a positive for this team, they either didn't watch him in his last 15 games of the regular season and playoffs or have an off center view of what a quality d man is for the amount of money he was signed for. Journeyman who avoids contact and is decent on the PP which was 27th. Stan knocked it out of the park this offseason.
