Yeah, I remember heavy speculation of the offsheet but they were going to try to work out a trade instead like you said, then Philly came in.

Seeing that he would have an overabundance of dmen & likely be above the cap once Voracek get resolved, I'm pretty sure it would be extremely helpful for Holmgren to actually follow through on any arrangement made.

i'd love to have hartnell on the hawks. 67 points last season with 188 hits, 16 PPG, and +19. can fight and great at pissing people off. good all around player

hartnell toews kane? would be a badass line

I doubt we would have a chance but if they need to shed some money, we have Stalberg to replace him and the prospects they may want

The time to get Hartnell was a year. I brought it up a lot, people thought he wasn't worth it, some liked it though, it was split.

I scouted Voracek heavily for the team I was working for. They tried hard to move up in the draft to get him, but Columbus, among others wouldn't take the bait. In regards to offensive ability, he's got lots more in the tank, you should have seen him man the point on the PP, it was a thing of beauty. He would fit in nicely amongst our top 6

We have Saad, sharp, Kane, and Hossa for top 6 wingers. Voracek would be nice but I'd rather use cap space on a 2c

I think Nashville is in big trouble regardless of whether or not they match Weber, but I doubt Poile would trade anybody decent within the division. I like Wilson, but I'm not convinced he's a solution to anything for at least another year.

I wonder if Holmgren would consider pushing Hartnell out of the way. Unless they land Nash or Ryan, I doubt it.
