The Flyers are not attempting to make any friends around the league with this outrageous offer sheet. It will come back to bite them, just wait and see.

I hope the Preds don't match and win the cup vs the Flyers in the finals.

I don't know why any player would want to sign a long term to deal with the Flyers after what happened with both Richards,Carter and JVR.

I feel bad for Nashville fans they support their team big time and they will lose two very good d-men. Very good chances they suck next year. They might draft in the top 5 next year. They were close to be a contender team now they are non playoff team. Not good for a franchise in the south .

So why do they lose dmen with good fans exactly? Not going into speculation or slander but the fact they just do with a team that has been kinda close to winning all the way several times before is weird.

Edit: ok I'll risk a guess, dmen + country music = no go

Why would you hope to see the Flyers in the finals? They, along with the Bruins and Leafs, are precisely the teams I don't want to have a prolonged playoff run.

Either way it's depressing thinking about how good Philly's forwards always are

Moving those 2 helped Giroux get more ice time and more responsibilities but it had nothing to do with my reply

They don't care about making friends, they care about getting better and that's what they did.

Also they might never trade with Nashville again, but the bottom line is players around the league want to play in Philly so it will make it easy for them to still attract players. And take Bobby Ryan for example who almost begged the Flyers to trade for him weeks ago

In his prime I'd have no problem with that what's so ever

But what has Poile been doing with Suter and Weber? They should of moved Weber or Suter a long time ago...

Completely agree and this is why I really don't feel bad for the Preds but especially Poile. He is the one that signed Weber to a 1 year deal and he knew he would become a RFA at the same time as Suter who was going to be a UFA. Nashville made all those deadline moves and brought back Radulov cause IMO they saw this coming. They should have agreed to longer term last year with Weber and they would have at least been able to save 1 key player. They still can but that contract is a killer for a market like Nashville

Not sure why people never talk about the opposite and wonder why the player(Weber) agreed to sign a RFA deal with another team. If he really wanted to be in Nashville, he wouldn't have signed this IMHO. But yes, blame the Flyers or any team at attempting to get better

I don't even know what's taking so long...Poile should just take the compensation and call it a day.

I'd offer sheet Voracek if I was him, that would be # 1

Pretty sure that could only be officially ''announced'' once the 7 days are up if it was their intention to let Weber go to the Flyers.
