The Lagers would be a great name. My fantasy team's names are always the Yuengling Lagers. Haha.

RT @PSPhantoms: Phantoms have committed to play 2 more seasons in Glens Falls, with more options. City will upgrade Civic Center w/ 2 video boards, PA.

RT @PSPhantoms: There is a 1-year option at the end of 2-year new contract Phantoms have with the city. Insurance in case Allentown isn't ready.

They might broadcast a few games on Comcast somewhere, but you might be looking more towards public access/local network such as WFMZ.

im happy to see a big landfill now, but is 14 months alot of time, to build this arena, looks like they have a few buildings left to knock down.

plus they gotta get the foundation, pipes, and anything else that is part of building something.

If I weren't so lazy I could find this out myself but is Allentown closer to Philly than Glenns Falls? Is it in a different market even or just down the street sort of a scenario?

It's about 30 miles NNW from Philly... Glens Falls is closer to Montreal than it is Philly.

Like I said in my post a year ago ITT, I'm pretty close to the site of the new arena.

It takes me about 1 hr. 15 mins. to 1 hr. 30 mins to get down to the sports complex in Philly.

The Lehigh Valley is also a big Philly sports market. The vast majority of people here root for Philly teams, and there is a connection between the teams and the area (Allentown/Flyers, Allentown/Phillies, Lehigh/Eagles, etc.).

ill be happy to see the phantoms back with in a reasonable distance,

it was great when they were at the spectrum.

mccosh, FRANK just to name a few.

it sucks, business and corporate aholes wanted to build xfinity live.

its a nice place but i still wish the specturm was around.

They still just have a big hole in the ground, right? That's where they were at a month ago. And they've got a TV deal. I will find it and update my post.

http://articles.mcall.com/2012-02-24...-game-phantoms

Every home game in HD. SE-2 network includes services beyond Service Electric customers. Refer to the IronPigs TV page to see if you can get games. The IronPigs have a 10-year deal to broadcast all of their home games.

I'd prefer that they just keep the Phantoms as their name. I hope Adirondack is able to get another team though I'm glad the team is moving closer to Philadelphia.
