don't bring up that game. had yet another wth moment. leading the league in scoring 24 games in, get sent down to my junior team. after playing the entire rest of the previous season in the NHL (minus a handful of AHL games). played seven games with the junior team with 7 goals, 17 assists. no promotion. seriously.
We are definitely making the playoffs. Book it. Heck, before the neverending injuries last season our record was great as we all know and that was without Zach and Ryan. We're making playoffs:
1. Playoffs as a 5 or 6 seed.
2. Parise and MK collecting a ton of goals.
3. Our defense is going to be much improved this season and the theory that Suter was only magnificent because of Weber by his side will be proven dead wrong.
4. Harding will prove to be our goalie and Back will be backed right out of St. Paul.
5. I'm not sold on us winning the division just yet because until I see more from those dang Canucks, they are the team to beat. I still think we are getting into the playoffs without question and watch out once we get there, because as LA proved, anything can happen, even to an 8th seed!

Canucks have gotten weaker but obviously they are still the team to beat. I think Minnesota can really make a run for the division title if they manage to keep healthy. Thatīs a big if however.
Did the Canucks get weaker? They changed out Salo for Garrison. And I don't think Schneider would be much different than Luongo.
Salo was their best defensive D-man, although he does seems to go unnoticed quite a bit. I donīt know if Garrison can patch that role defensively although he seems to have the offensive potential.
Edit: Also lost Rome, although not that big of a deal.
Luongo was a great regular season goaltender and although I donīt expect Schneider to fold, he still hasnīt been that true nro.1 goalie with the pressure on. I do expect some kind of turbulence in that sector at some point in the season.
OT:
My only personal exchange with him was when we went to take pictures and the girl in front of me told people she only wanted a picture with Charlie Coyle. Matt said, "No it's ok, really, it happens all the time." and acted slightly disappointed(jokingly) so I when I got up there, he looks at me and says, "Can I be in your picture." I looked back at him and said, "You better be." Which made the girls taking the picture crack up.
Well shoot, that's not nearly as funny. I love it when people tell me how to do my job Sounds like he's a pretty good guy though.
In other news, making a SPECIAL appearance at the Muddy Pig in about, oh, a half hour or so, will be: Me. Come and meet Me at the Pig. Autographs and personal photos can be taken with Me for only one Belgian Ale/IPA/barleywine, and one lucky participant will be able to drive Me home if enough ales are purchased for Me. If you're looking for Me, look for the guy with an blue-striped, untucked, button-up Hilfiger shirt, khaki trousers, and brown shoes. So get on down there and have a good time with Me!
