I can't think of any outstanding season he's had with the Habs. What is he capable of contributing that would justify his eating up so much cap space? Molson, you were stuck with a white elephant.
- character
- is a good team guy
- accountable
- has a guaranteed contract
And you wrongfully vilified him for all four of the above.
Lol what character? He has failed when faced with adversity since arriving to Montreal. He's a gutless softie who would never stick up for a teammate even when he knows everyone in the locker-room thinks he's simply cashing checks. He has no desire to prove himself, and if you saw him carrying his 20 pound gut around town last winter you'd understand why so many people find it disgusting that a professional sports franchise is harboring this lazy bum.

So now character = success. Good to know. Tell me more.

I can't wait to sit in 13th in the East next February and see Gomez get booed game in game out. It should be especially humorous when we play in Florida and you can still hear our faithful fans giving him what he deserves for every second of unmerited icetime.
It won't do anything to him though, he can't be any more of a shell of human being than he already is. But it will be funny.
Bernard Brisset relating that Gomez thinks he's going to end up in the minors next season. Let's hope it's true.
I doubt it. I think Montreal would have made a bigger splash on the free agent market if gomez was not in the plans this season. If you are against the cap and gomez is still on your team... you might as well keep him in the nhl... you have to pay him either way. This is barring some miraculous performance in the pre season by a young forward.... but even then, its not a slam dunk.
