A lot of our games for this upcoming season are getting pushed back to 7:30... is this setting up the potential for a little more national exposure on NBC Sports?

I usually never pay attention to this, so it could just be something standard that means nothing at all.

I used to love the 7:30 stars, and hated it after the Rock opened, and they pushed the starts to 7:00. I was working out in PA, and it was an hour, and a half with good traffic getting to the games. I'd usually meet up with my buddy at Vince Lombardi rest area on the Turnpike, and turn right back around toward Newark. I usually would be walking down the aisles as the opening puck was dropped.

As far as national exposure I would say I would bet on the third game of the season which is against the Rangers being a national broadcast. NBC Sports, and while it was Versus usually showed at least two of our games against them a year if not more.

What were the games that were changed? I know they announced the Dec. 27 one today (of course the website is slow to update and still has it at 7 PM) and I remember vagely two being announced as shifting to 7:30 last week.

I must have dreamed up some random tweets, because I could have sworn there were two other games that got switched. But it's only 3 games so far.

The other 2 shifts were 11/20 against Montreal and 3/5 against Tampa Bay.

Shouldn't these threads start being labelled 2012-2013? This past season is done.

No I knew there were two, just forgot what games they were cause I'm really not paying attention now. But yeah those two games are Tuesday so it'd fit in with a VS telecast.

Having at least six 7:30 starts should make some people happy. It'll make it easier for me to pick games to sell since I'm not too big on 7:30 starts during the regular season during weekdays, but to each their own.

I'm a fan of more 730 start times, since I won't be getting home from work until around that time from now on.

However, the challenge of defending the Cup is starting to enter their minds and it is a helluva motivating factor to get back to work.
I can definitely buy it.

Boo this man. There will be a season, even if it's a little late in starting.

I'm not going to get worried about losing the whole season until the Winter Classic gets canceled. I think the NHL will do what it can to save that and try to finish the CBA no later than early December, just like the NBA finished its CBA just in time to save the Christmas games. If that gets lost, then there's every chance of going down a dark hole again.

I think they'll do it even earlier than that. They'll want to save the HBO 24/7 filming, which starts in November. The league is also trying to establish the Black Friday games after Thanksgiving as a marquee event, I doubt they'd want to risk damaging that.

Forget November get it done by when it's supposed to start! We have 2 months to training camp so they need to get it right. Bettman should resign, and step down if another significant lockout happens. Third one under his watch if it happens. We all know he won't step down though.

Parise's wedding is tomorrow. I wonder if it's awkward for the Devils players that are going..

You have to figure guys like Zajac, Greene, Zubs, etc will be there.
