Im sure most of you are aware, but at the Dark Knight premiere in Colorado last night, a man walked in and opened fire, killing 12 people.
To make it even more freaky, one of the deceased was a woman who was in the Eaton Centre food court last month in Toronto when another man opened fire killing 2 and injuring a few others.

We have a ridiculously violent society.....going to be interesting to get the profile on this latest gun loving nutjob. Hopefully, not some rogue vet suffering PTSD. All I know is that he was young..around 24? Haven't followed up on it and if more info has come out about the guy's background.

Dude named William Morva shot his way out of police custody in a Christiansburg hospital, before randomly and needlessly sneaking up on and shooting a cop in Blacksburg, and then hid in a bush for a few hours. A lot of locals knew him and he was a regular at my favorite bar...general consensus was that he was a little off.
...I would say he's very off.

Reading her twitter is chilling. She was messaging Jesse Spector (another well known hockey writer) while sitting in her seat at the theatre.

It's quite difficult to comprehend how one person can be involved in two public shootings, let alone two non-related shootings which occurred over 1500 miles apart from one another in a matter of a month.
What makes this shooting even worse is that, as of now, I havent heard if the shooter had any motives or targets. It was reported that the shooter in Toronto last month had two targets when he opened fire. Obviously this doesnt mitigate the seriousness of the crime, but it's not comforting knowing this guy opened fire for no apparent reason.
A man claiming to be James Holmes created a profile on a popular sex website just days before "The Dark Knight Rises" massacre ... in which he described his penis as "short/average" ... and law enforcement sources tell TMZ investigators are now looking at the site to determine its authenticity.
"Holmes" created the profile on AdultFriendFinder.com July 5 -- and included a picture of himself with reddish, orange hair ... just as officials in Aurora, CO said he looked when he was apprehended Friday morning.
"Holmes" -- who used the screen name classicjimbo -- included a cryptic message on the top of the profile which reads, "Will you visit me in prison?"
