appear to be plastic shovels. I'll assume $3 costs.
that means ~$210K raised.
Jai ma place sure has some creative funding ideas.
Plastic and a sticker? That's way, way too high.
I worked to help set up a dollar store a neighbor was started, and got to see the cost sheets. Wholesale from the vendor, which is still more expensive than putting in a direct factory order, some of that stuff cost on the order of a dime per piece. Now, the stuff that cheap used less plastic than that, but with the stuff you can get for well under a buck, there's no way those shovels cost even as much as a dollar.
Another point of comparison: factory direct, jeans cost about $2 a pair from China. That's everything from the $10 ones at wal-mart to the $70 ones at a chain that pretends to be high end, say, banana republic. Plastic crap is generally much cheaper than jeans.
No, you're probably talking, with an order directly from the factory, about 10 cents per, if that.

Those shovels were made especially for that event by Garant, a world leader in shovels, winter tools, lawn tools, etc. Garant is located in St-François, Québec, about 45 minutes east of Québec City. Always a good idea to be a little bit informed about something before talking about it.

Interesting. It looks like a few sponsors on the bottom too. They could easily cover the cost of the shovels.
Ill probably be there if the weather's nice, fun day out listening to a few bands and they have some cool prizes
2 lower bowl seat licence
5000$ gift certificate at mall,
5000$ at electronics store
5000$ at sporting good store + a lot of smaller giveaway
So that's just a license? Meaning you still have to pay for the season tickets, but you're one of the lucky ones that doesn't have to wait on a list for the luxury of paying thousands of dollars per year?
Don't worry NFS, 30,000 will not be enough, we were over 60,000 at "La marche Bleu expecting for a LNH team". (In middle of the summer more than that participated to it) And the shovel is symbolic... (Just to show that it is not a matter of mayer or prime minister, but people want a stadium) Here, it would be easy to get a 20,000 signatures on a petition to keep a team now ;-) A lot of things changed since 1995... What owners were asking in that time, we got it now! (Stadium, ceiling of teams can allow for salaries of players and even a $ not at 65%) So if there's a LNH team, doesn't realy matter but it would be the cherry on the sunday ;-) Meanwhile, we will have decents shows all year around ;-) BTW, there is not only hockey in the world, Roger Waters is making his last show "The Wall" tonight on the Plaine d'Abraham (site of "La marche Bleu")
