To be fair he was much more effective his first full season here than he was the following season
Yeah, getting to play with Richards and all. The coach gave him a chance to show that he was more than a garbage 4th liner, and didn't do with when given decent teammates. But he couldn't keep his head on straight, and couldn't stay out of trouble with the refs. At least Rinaldo fails at the same things for half the cost.
I'm sure Carcillo was the mastermind behind that trade. "Hey, if you trade Upshall and a 2nd to me I'll come over to the Flyers!" That was Homer giving someone who wanted more money for what he was worth and overpayment for the "typical Flyer" they love to get/overpay for. You would think that the Flyers would have learned something over time but I guess Cote, Eager, Carcillo, and Shelley aren't enough. Maybe they just wanted Carbomb to be a Downie.
Credit to those on here who didn't fall or any of this.
Meh, those things are still true (except the 20 goal part). I just don't like him talking smack on the Flyers. Loved him when he played here and I'd prefer him over Rinaldo, but don't like the shots taken at the Flyers. Moved him to the list of ex-Flyers I will boo when they come to town.
