Natsuyuki Rendezvous looks interesting. That is all I am going to say on the subject matter, so that I don't incriminate myself any further.

Wow you guys weren't kidding about Clannad. Up to the end of episode 9 and it's making me cry. I cry at most anime though. 20 years old and still a big baby.

You should try to watch Grave of the Fireflies. ****ing soul crushing. Another show with a sad but really good ending is Angel Beats. HIGHLY recommend it.

Just noticed this one and remembered I bookmarked a page off Sankaku previewing this show and wanted to check it out. Seems interesting. Will at least give it a shot.

I've been looking into Angel Beats. I want to have a complete collection of KEY anime so I have Clannad, but I want to get Kanon, Air, Little Busters! (When it comes), and Angel Beats.

Watched the first two episodes of Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate and the thing that really stands out to be is the similarity in personality/appearance/mannerisms between

and from the breakfast club.

Anime cafe opens up in Detroit

Quote:
Samet's business, the Chou Anime Cafe, is based off a type of Japanese establishment known as a "maid cafe" where servers dressed in lacy maid costumes lavish attention on their patrons. The Detroit coffeehouse draws from this tradition and from Japanese cartoons, but has been tweaked to appeal to an American audience.

Upon entering visitors are met with a friendly "konichiwa" from one of the establishment's maids (or its solitary butler) dressed to the nines in elaborate outfits. Some of them also elect to wear optional bunny or cat ears. Customers are free to browse a selection of anime-related merchandise or to grab something to eat or drink. The menu features a variety of fresh locally-produced salads and wraps, as well as specifically Japanese items like melon bread, pocky candy and a novelty soda called Ramune. The maids (and butler) don't just serve food though -- they also socialize and play board games with customers. Playstation 3 Video games are also available for a small fee.

Sword Art Online continues to be the season's best new show and I don't see anything overtaking it. The story is great, and it's such a nice change of pace from the standard slice of life anime where nothing is at stake.

It easily is. It says 25 episode, but I could seriously keep watching it.

I think I saw a preview of this a while back but can't remember. If it's anything like what the manga is it sounds pretty interesting and I'll need to check it out.

*SPOILERS*

I just finished Eden of the East. Great series, but as I was warned, the ending was pretty bad. Any show that ends with a bunch of jazz music is usually bad. And then Saki tops it off by telling us that it all happened in 11 days. Yuck!

Does that include the two films? I watched the series maybe a year or two ago and can't remember if that includes series only or with the films (which I still need to watch).

Nah you didn't really so don't worry about that. You warned with a spoiler alert anyways so if you did it would have been my fault for reading any more than the title.

Will still watch the movies down the line. Will probably have to rewatch the series too since some of it I don't really remember.

So many good series coming out. Makes me wish I wasn't a poor mall employee so I could afford these releases.

Just started watching SAO and holy crap is it good.

Great story, love the characters, good action. Pretty funny also.

Question for those that have seen it: Was there something to that exchange at the end of the first episode between Kirito and Klein?

I saw it, but even I didn't get it, I think they're gay for each other or something. *Shrug* lol

I guess I'm going to have to watch SaO as well. I have heard nothing but great things about it, so I might as well give it a shot.

I haven't kept up with anything anime-related for a long time but has their been any good medieval or sword & sorcery type series that's come out over the last few years? That's about all I'd really be interested in these days, the last series I burned through was Spice & Wolf. Oh, and not including any overly 'shounen' stuff like Fairy Tale.

Fall is looking really good. So stoked for Little Busters! it's not even funny. Will have tissues at the ready like every KEY anime.
