I bought another Score Box. I found a few lots on Ebay where I can obtain all but 15 or so cards I'm missing from my base set, so I'm hoping to get a little lucky.

We should make a road trip there some day. I'd love to look around their shop for a while..
Places like that aren't all that exciting to visit. They are pretty much a warehouse of boxes. They rarely have individual cards for sale. That said I always love to go Niagara Falls.

I checked my PMs on one of the card message boards. Some guy offered me a Tallackson autograph for my Hasek autograph. I said not interested so he offered his Parise autograph instead. Yea... not helping.

A few years ago, I bought a signed Jersey of Martin Brodeur on ebay.
I've been wondering ever since, if it really is an original signature of Marty, as it has been fairly cheap. Furthermore, I haven't found anything really about this "Stevie Y Authentic Inc." on the internet.
Is there a way to be sure if it's an original signature, or may I never know for sure?

Sorry, I missed this somehow. So in 3 boxes you got a double in Franchises? That's rough. 30 should be Washington though so it's one of the better ones. I'm assuming you didn't get an autograph. That would mean the 2 of us combined got 0 in 7 boxes when it's supposed to be 50/50 you get one.

It's tough to say. I put Brodeur under the "if it's too good to be true" clause due to the fact that his autograph is so unbelievably easy to forge.
It's the simplicity of it (and I cant blame him) that makes it so easy to forge. IMO, with something as easy to replicate as Marty, I would pretty much only go with Steiner. From the zillions of Marty autos I've seen on BAP, SP etc., over the years, if you put a gun to my head, I'd say that that's a fake, but I'm not confident in that guess at all.
I'd bet that it's real. Not a lot but I think it is. Like BG said there are a lot of Marty fakes out there but very few get the "Mt" right like that ones does. The last name is a little iffy though. It's either real or one of the better fakes out there.

But yeah, the front half looks like a completely legit' Marty autograph to me. WTH knows for sure. As an example of a TOUGH signature to forge, I'll give you something remarkably linear like Ted Lindsay. With all the easier peeps to forge, were I a counterfeiter? I wouldnt even bother with TL, lol.
Marty's sig is SO difficult to judge. He's gone through several iterations over the years, but I'd have to say that doesn't look real. The "30" is too clean. Very odd for him IMHO. But I'm no pro...

Yep, no autos. I pulled a black card though, which was cool.
Do you need any of the subset duplicates I pulled? I'll mail them out eventually. I've been real busy and haven't been on HF much lately.
