So the Hawks need at center are no mystery. Phoenix could use some help scoring and down the middle.

Would something like Hanzal for Stalberg + McNeill work?

No thanks. It's basically like us offering Korpikoski and Henrik Samuelsson for Dave Bolland.

Hanzal to Chicago? Start with Bolland and add enough for us to justify the trouble of trading a player for no reason. In other words, it's a bad fit.

Well first of all, Bolland is a better player than Hanzal so that's not going to work. Second, the point is to have both Bolland and Hanzal.

Hanzal is a perfect fit in Phoenix, and as such, I wouldn't move him for Bolland. The Coyotes, if you will recall the western conference quarter finals are a team looking to compete, not rebuild. And while i will agree that it would be great to have Hanzal and Bolland on the same team, I'm not in a huge hurry to help Chicago out with that.

Rather have Hanzal.

Tbh, the only players I'd take from Chicago would be Kane or Toews. Keeps the core young and gives us a solid player.

Don't see that happening though.

Yea I really can`t see Hanzal moving from Phoenix unless some offers a deal for him that GMDM can`t refuse.

Possibly with Yandle on the table, there might be a deal that could be done.

Perhaps something like Yandle + Murphy would be enough of a starting point for Kane.

I wouldn't bother having that conversation. Yandle for Kane is just going to be a flame war among fans on both sides.

Also, is your name taken after former Coyote Trevor Letowski? Or do you have the same name but with an "e" at the end?

Not the name sake of Trevor; but my own.

I know it doesn't make sense for Chi to move Kane; but they started by asking for Hanzal with no reason to trade him. That's also an organizational need for the yotes, which has no one of that ilk in the organization; so if Yandle is moved at all, it better be for someone the caliber of Kane.

As much as I love Yandle and as much as I dislike Kane, I'd probably trade the one for the other. We just need a top scoring forward that bad.

By the way, why do Chicago fans see center as a position of need? You've got Toews and Bollqnd and hasn't Sharp spent significant time at the position in the past? Hasn't Kane played pivot quite a bit more recently?

Kane to Phoenix? It would be like Cinco de Mayo all year round! Anyways, I thought 'Hawk fans wanted Bolland to be here in AZ with Hanzal...

Outside perspective here
PHX would be out of their mind to trade their only proven top center for anything less and an overpayment.
The Hawks make bad trading partners with the Yotes since both teams are going for the playoffs and would be tryig to improve their teams this offseason.

Neither team is going to gut its future to help a conference playoff rival.

And to say Bolland is better than Hanzel is very short sighted. Look at who Hanzel was matched up this playoffs and see just how far the Yotes went. Now compare him to Bolland and what he contributes.

I'd take Hanzal over Bolland 9 times outta 10.

Hanzal is overrated. He's an average #3 centre.

Hanzal tends to make opposing centers look below average...

If you cant look up a players stat line on hockeydb and immediately identify why people consider them valuable, then they must be overrated.
