Me too, I remember he was spun out by Freeney. Just a pathetic performance.

Former Steelers safety Anthony Smith has retired. Tom Brady probably unofficially retired him many years ago after Smith made that silly guarantee and Brady proceeded to embarrass the hell out of the kid on national tv. Gotta admit before that incident I thought Smith was going to be a star. The guy flashed so much early with some interceptions and huge hits. I remember him obliterating TJ Houshmandzadeh in a Bengals/Steelers game. He certainly had all the talent, just didn't have the brain and maturity.

I have a ton of bubble wrap left over from my move and tickets to two games in San Diego (may go for the whole series, undecided on that) next month...I'm seriously thinking of making a bubble bunch suit.

Odd in that with all Ashton Kutcher movies a certain degree of horribleness is just assumed.

Will Joey Porter's contract be for one year or just a one day thing? I'd like to see him split time

Yes unpresidented punishments. They gave the statue a Capital one. Though all they did was move it into the stadium.

PSU sanctions/penalties:
$60 million fine - funds for endowment to serve victims of child sexual abuse
Banned from bowl games and postseason for 4 years.
Initial scholarships reduced from 25 to 15 per year for 4 years.
Vacates all wins from 1998-2011.
5-year probationary period for entire university athletic program
Reserving the right to initiate a formal investigation to impose sanctions on individuals.
An NCAA-appointed monitor will oversee things at Penn State during the probationary period.

NCAA came down hard on PSU.

Better get my riot gear ready...again. Had rocks ****ing thrown at me last time. So glad 80% of the students aren't here, but the townies may go nuts.

Moving to this region has made me realize how nuts this community is. Completely and utterly devoted to football and above everything, paterno. It's what most get out of bed for.

So true. In fact when I went to school there they named the classes all types of different things, but in reality we were only allowed to watch highlights of old games and every textbook was simply Joe's biography with a different cover to make it look like we were actually learning things.

Seriously? That sucks, man.

If **** goes down (again), stay safe. Likewise to everyone else at PSU.

I'm just glad that the monster who allowed it to go on is not only erased from the stadium but from the record books.

You can take away those wins on paper but everybody knows those games were played etc. It's not a new punishment but I've never really understood the point of it.

Hopefully this is it for a while. Got bored with the Penn State story a long time ago. Sandusky is basically in jail til he's dead. Paterno already is dead and everybody else has pretty much been fired.

Spanier, Curley, and Schultz still have jail sentences ahead of them.
