Really? 22 year old Voracek and 23 year old Simmonds have peaked?

Yeah, and then they lose Briere and Timonen

I don't know how much more you are expecting from Giroux.

We've all seen a ton of the Flyers and I really like Voracek but in my opinion yeah. Obviously they are young players you don't want to see leave but it wouldn't be a catastrophe.

I think Voracek has 70 pt potential. Simmonds? I think last year at 49 points will be his highest. Who knows though. The 1RW spot is empty now, since Jagr is gone. Maybe he wins a spot with Giroux in the middle. Then he's scoring more than that for sure.

I chatted briefly with Dave Cameron today and he is an assistant coach with the Senators . I asked him what his thoughts were on the Rangers . He talked about just how hard hard it was for the Rangers to create offense and without a PP that works... they did well to win the series and that if they had of had a 4th line they probably could have been a Final team and got past the Devils . They, the Senators were disappointed with the loss but happy with the season overall .
I asked him about Gabby's injury and he figured that just about everybody was banged up pretty good in that series .

Hopefully we can get a round of golf in and I'll try and get some more insights on Kreider and Hagelin's performance and the Ottawa team's impressions of them .

Simmonds has 30g-30a, maybe 35-35 potential man.

49 pts is not his ceiling.

I think we know what you get from Simmonds...Voracek has a ton of upside and showed some flash in the Penguin series IMO . He could be a steady contributor on a less offensive loaded roster with more ice and PP duty .

Voracek was playing top PP in Philly towards the end of the year with Simmonds, Hartnell, Giroux and Timonen. Voracek just really has no finish whatsoever. If he did, he would have been a 30 goal scorer last year. I think Voracek will be a 20-40 type guy.

Arthur Staple ‏@StapeNewsday
#Ducks will oppose in arbitration, no date set. If Visnovsky wins, he's Ducks property again: if ANA wins, trade to #Isles stands.

Arthur Staple ‏@StapeNewsday
Lubomir Visnovsky has filed a grievance through the NHLPA to void his trade to #Isles, claiming his no-trade clause is still valid.

**** the Islanders. They're lucky that Tavares decided to spend the next 6 years of his career there. That's a miracle in itself.

so has the Caps and Penguins and they are decent teams...islanders sucks due to bad management and no free agents wants to play there so they are forced to rush their prospects due to their lack of depth...

Quick, I need help.

Would you draft Rinne or Bryzgalov in a keeper league?

The only goalie stats are wins and shutouts, so I don't care about Mr. Universe's GAA and SVP.

Bryz definitely. Philly might add Weber. They'll be a great team. Bryz will get lots of wins and with wins, comes shutouts.

Nashville is going down if they lose Weber. Their D will fall apart. Rinne is good, but he can't save Nashville.

That's pretty much all the same reasoning I had to pick Bryz. The ****** thing is that I'm doing the draft now and it's one of those long drafts where you get a ****-load of time to make a pick and I go next.

It will suck if I pick Bryz and then magically Nashville accepts the contract.

I'm also looking at Halak, but I don't know how the job will be split with him and Elliott. If it's pretty much in half, then I won't get many wins from him. He had 26 last year.

With all that, I think I'm still getting Bryz.

Even if Nashville matches for Weber, they won't be the same without Suter.

I also expect Bryz to have a bounce back year and with that offense in front of him, he isn't gonna lose a lot of games.

Any news out of Nashville? Less than 48 hours left for the owners to match Philly's offer.

Tick tock, tick..
