I'd trade Bourque for Lecavalier, straight up and only because I don't want Bourque with the Habs.

Since the Habs have just begun talks with Pernell Karl Subban, after rejecting his qualifying offer, how much will he fetch in his final offer? $3.5M per year for 2 years? $5M per year for 6 years?

I believe most teams like to operate with at least 2-3 million in cap space incase of trades or injuries and what not. So with 6.3 million in cap space, and at least 1 contract coming off the books they're sitting at over 7 million in space.

Seems like PK should be signed somewhere around 4.5 million, if I had to venture a guess 3 years. That way his next contract he'll still be an RFA and can cash in then or get one last prove it contract if he doesn't continue to improve the way he should.

Let's recap : P.K. Subban will sign a 3 year 13.5 million dollar contract with the Montreal Canadiens.

I wouldn't even trade Gomer straight up for Vinny. You guys are stuck with Vinny's horrendous contract.

P-K is not going anywhere. In a few years from now he will be the leader of this defensive squad with the youngs coming and the older going away. We have to think long term and long term is with P-K. Don't worry he will be getting older too! Let's be patient!

Trading Subban depends on the return, but I'd rather build the franchise with him and his personality lol. Montreal is missing a 6ft4 2-way defenseman à la Pietrangelo and Douggie Hamilton. Seth Jones fits the bill.
