I was hoping Nash would have been traded to Detroit or San Jose so he could stay in the Western Conference. However no sense in complaining about that now and hopefully what the Rangers gave up is a lot.
I think that this is bad for Columbus. This does not make them THAT much better. I would have thought they would do almost a 1 for 1 for one really good piece, like one of NYR's prime young defense-men.
All this does is keep them out of the lottery draft. Still far from a playoff team, especially in the central division.
Well for the Leaf's sake he went to a team that made the playoffs last year. I would rather the top teams get better than the 5-9th placed teams, as (hopefully) those are the teams we will battling for a playoff spot.
I think thats a pretty good deal for both sides. I think people that think its bad are focusing too much on the ridiculous asking price Howson wanted and comparing this package to those packages. If this deal happened right when Nash came on the market people would probably be saying NY overpaid.
