Makes you wonder what we could've given up for him. That price seems really low...

Nash had a short list of teams that he would accept a trade to....the Wild weren't on it.

But was that after Parise / Suter?

Just wondering though what we would've given up, seeing as how the price for him went so low

Oh boy, ESPN broke their coverage of the "Penn State saga" for 10 seconds to announce that CBJ traded Nash for three "players" and a 1st rounder. Couldn't even announce the players involved. ESPN your so stupid....

Oh this just gets better and better... sounds like CBJ is throwing in a 3rd and some prospect to send to NYR.

I'm laughing my ass off over here!

Now I'm reading that CBJ also gave the Rangers a 3rd round pick in addition to Nash.

Geezus.

Unreal, heard about the 3rd but didn't know there was a prospect too.

Columbus, like Calgary, is getting what they paid for by keeping Howson on, i feel terrible for the couple dozen Blue Jackets fans left.

And how about Visnovsky wanting to void that trade with the Isles? I defend any player not wanting to play for Snow on Long Island!

If I was a CBJ season ticket holder I would be calling in, cussing out the unlucky phone rep and ANGRILY getting my money back.

Wow. What a bad trade. Columbus is the worst run franchise in the league.

Nash did take away some of Howson's leverage by publicly saying he wanted out, but I figured the return for one of the top power forwards in the league would be better than this. Plus the Jackets are actually giving up more than Nash for that package? Howson should be done soon.

Wow. The Jackets got hosed. The Rangers gave up nothing important. Their top two lines stay in tact, and they keep their top prospects? Oh, and they get a 3rd? Bettman must be behind this.

Edit: Besides Duby. But still.

How can a GM go from asking for top line talent he doesn't have to match, to giving a player away for scraps?

That's a poor man's version of the Liriano trade.

I would hate to be Anisimov, Dubinsky, and Erixon. They went pretty much went from a legit contender to. Never reaching the playoffs.

I'd have them on suicide watch at this point. Or at least take their phones away so they cant call the KHL or bolt for Europe.

So, does anyone remember what the rumored offer for Nash was by New York around the trade deadline?

Terrible trade for Columbus.

I dislike New York quite a bit.
